PAINKLLR PAINCAVE.San Diego
The next installment of our in-box competition is slated for November 16, 2019 in Downtown San Diego!
Our 2-person, same gender team setup provides an environment to hit the competition floor and throw down with your friend and fellow athletes. The environment is real and this offers a chance to give it your all and leave it on the floor.
Included in your registration fee is an athlete bag filled with:
Personalized PAINKLLR athlete shirt/tank with your last name for you & your partner The custom shirt/tank will only be included with registration for anyone who registers BEFORE October 16th.
Snacks, Goods & Promos will be provided in each athlete bag from our Sponsors.

To ensure a smooth and quick entry, here’s what you need to know:
Check in - Begins at 7:00am and closes promptly at 8:00am, this time is needed to collect your Athlete bag at check in. Event begins at 9:00am sharp.
Where Am I Going? – Check-in occurs at Stay Classy CrossFit on the day of the event.
Parking – Street parking is available around the area and is free on Saturdays. Arriving early is your best bet for a good space. Remember, this is Downtown San Diego so weekends can get busy!
Come Prepared – You’ll need to provide a valid ID to complete check-in. Bring gear to work out in and food however Underground Prep will be on-site. Remember, on checkin you will be receiving an Athlete Bag which will include:
Your custom Athletes Shirt for competition (Only if you registered BEFORE October 7th)

No Take-Backs – Life happens—we totally get that. But please be aware that if you cannot participate in the weekend’s events, we cannot offer a refund for any reason.
Trading Places – You can substitute an athlete up until registration closes on November 12th. Please note if they ordered a tee/tank they will receive the tee/tank ordered by the original participant.

6 Rounds for time: Follow the leader style (Each athlete must complete 1 full round before the next athlete can go)

Shuttle Run
RX (185/120)
Scaled (135/95)
Toes to Bar
- Athlete must start hanging from pull up bar with arms fully extended
- Athletes heels must go from behind the bar then finish with toes touching simultaneously.
Power Cleans
- Barbell will begin on the ground
- Barbell must go in one non stop movement to athletes front rack receiving position
- Rep is complete when the athlete is standing with knees and hips fully extended and shows control of the bar on shoulders with elbows in front of the bar.
- Squat Clean is allowed but must complete to standing position for rep to be counted.
- Touch and go is allowed but bouncing of the bar will result as a NO REP.
Shuttle Run
- Athlete will begin behind starting marker
- Athlete will run to next marker then cross legs in front of line with both hands simultaneously touching ground before returning back to starting marker and repeated for following marker.
- After completing all shuttle runs partner MUST tag next partner before the next round can be started.
- Athletes must tag before switching partners

Standards:
Double Unders
- Athlete must jump once while rope completes 2 revolutions.
Thrusters
- Barbell begins on the ground
- Movement will begin with barbell on shoulders then pass through a complete front squat to full lockout overhead.
- Squat must clearly show hip crease pass top of knees at the bottom position. Athlete must continue squat to press in one simultaneous motion
- Rep will be counted and completed with knees, hips and lock out overhead.
- Cluster for first rep will be allowed.
Burpees over Barbell
- Burpees will performed laterally
- Chest and thighs must make contact with ground at the bottom.
- Athlete may step up or jump up from bottom
- Athlete must take off with two feet together and land at the same time
- Full extension of body while jumping over bar is not necessary.
Power Snatch
- The barbell will begin on the ground
- Barbell must be lifted in one motion overhead
- Rep is complete with knees and hips open while showing control overhead
- Touch and go is allowed but bouncing deliberately will be a NO REP.
Ring Muscle Ups
- Athlete must begin with, or pass through, a hang below the rings with arms fully extended and the feet off the ground.
- At the top athlete must show full extension of the elbows above the rings.
- Kipping is allowed. Swig to support or any style which make feet break above the plane of the ring will not be allowed.
Pull-Ups (Scaled)
- Athlete must start hanging from pull up bar with arms fully extended
- At the top athletes chin must clearly be over the plane of the bar for rep to be counted.
Kipping, butterly, or strict will all be allowed.
9 Min Cap
Buy In : 1200M row for Time (switch at 600 meters)
AMRAP: Max Heavy Sandbag Squats
RX: 200/150
Scaled: 150/100
Standards
Buy-in - 1200m Row Sprint
- Athletes all start behind the rower (Rower will be set for single distance) At 3,2,1 athlete 1 can begin.
- Partners 1 Must switch with Partner 2 at 600m Mark (Rower does not need to be reset)
- Score is time it took to reach 1200m.
Directly into AMRAP of - Max Sandbag Squats
- Athletes MUST hold sandbag in front in a hugging manner.
- Rep Begins with athlete standing - As in athlete picks up the bag and comes to a full standing position before starting.
- Athlete must squat down until hip creases passes the knee crease - pass top of the knees
- Athlete must return to a full vertical position with knees, hips fully extended.
- Athletes CANNOT pass sandbag amongst each other, sand bag must start on the ground.
