About This Competition

Our 3rd annual MASTERS OF THE SHED, an individual masters competition, will be May 5th in our new location (3 Goldmine Rd. Flanders, NJ 07836)! We hope you will join us for a fun day of fitness testing!

DIVISIONS: male and female 35-44 / male and female 45+

There will be 3 WODs and 1 floater. WODs will not be posted until the first weekend of March, but here is a list of movements to expect...

  • double unders
  • wall climbs (also called wall walks)
  • barbell complex (squat cleans, front squats, shoulder to overhead)
  • rowing
  • box jumps
  • wall balls
  • ghd sit-ups
  • overhead squats
  • burpees
  • bar muscle-ups
  • ski erg
  • rope climbs

Just like last year the format will test different time domains, strength, skill and aerobic capacity.

WOD 1 - sprint (5min)
WOD 2 - barbell ladder (10:00 EMOM)
WOD 3 - long chipper (15:00)
Floater - sprint (2:00-3:00)

Workouts

This workout is required to be completed any time before WOD 3 90sec – Ski Erg for distance (max meters) Floater WOD rankings will be used as tie-breaker…, if there is still a tie, rankings for WOD 3A will determine podium spot.

Workload for time… capped @ 5:00 30 double unders 21 (chin over bar) pull-ups 30 double unders 15 toes to bar 30 double unders 3 rope climbs – 15’ 30 double unders score = fastest time… unfinished reps = 1sec + 5:00

Barbell Complex… Ascending in Load EMOM 1 squat clean + 2 front squats + 3 shoulder to overhead Minute 1 – 135… 75 Minute 2 – 145… 85 Minute 3 – 155… 95 Minute 4 – 165… 105 Minute 5 – 175… 115 Minute 6 – 185… 125 Minute 7 – 195… 130 Minute 8 – 205… 135 Minute 9 – 215… 140 Minute 10 – 225… 145 score = total completed reps (example… Athlete A completes only the squat clean with final barbell… score = 55… Athlete B completes all reps for all 10 barbells… score = 60)
