About This Competition

Pound For Pound returns for 2024!

The only functional fitness competition that uses weights based on the athlete's body weight, creating an even playing field on a pound for pound basis. 

This year will see the return of our masters category to the floor as well!

Masters - 40+

Online qualifier workouts will be released at 08:00 on Monday, 1st April 2024 and the deadline for completion and submission is 22:00 on Friday, 19th April 2024. Any submissions made after this time will not be accepted. 

All qualifier workouts must be accompanied with a video submission for approval. 

The top athletes will progress to the finals on June 23rd 2024, held at Cattle Dog CrossFit. 

Provisional final places

Top 48 Male and 48 Female athletes

Top 12 Male Masters and 12 Female Masters athletes. 

Registration price increases 08:00 on Monday, 1st April 2024 alongside qualifiers being released.

No refunds given on registrations for online qualifiers.

6:00 minute AMRAP

15 Snatches
15 Burpees Over Bar

Male Rx - 60% Bodyweight

Female Rx - 50% Bodyweight

Male Masters - 50% Bodyweight

Score A - Time to complete 1 Round

Score B - Total Repetitions

 

Qualifier 1A + 1B Workout Flow

On 3, 2, 1, Go... the athlete will begin the workout with 15 Snatches, then the athlete will continue to complete 15 Burpees over Bar.

At this point a split time will be taken for workout 1A.

The athlete will then continue to work through 15 Snatches and 15 Burpees over Bar for the remaining time in the 6:00 minute AMRAP.

The Score for workout 1A will be the time taken to complete 15 Power Snatches and 15 Burpees over Bar.

The Score for workout 1B will be the total number of reps completed during the 6:00 minute AMRAP.

 

Weigh-in instructions.
Athletes must clearly show their bodyweight in kgs, as well as the scale reading, at the start of their submission video.
They must then load the bar to the nearest whole kg with the guidelines below.

0.1 - 0.49kg - rounded down e.g. 60.2kg rounds down to a barbell weight of 60kg 0.5 - 1.0kg rounds up e.g. 60.8kg rounds up to a barbell weight of 61kg

 

ANY NO REPS FOR 1A WILL BE PENALISED FOR A 3 SECOND PENALTY.


ANY NO REPS FOR 1B WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM THE OVERALL TOTAL.


A NO REP COMPLETED IN THE FIRST 30 REPS WILL RESULT IN BOTH A 3 SECOND TIME PENALTY AND DEDUCTED FROM THE OVERALL TOTAL.

Workout Flow

On 3, 2, 1, Go... the athlete will begin the workout with 2 Rounds of 3 Power Cleans, then 3 Front Squats and 3 Shoulder to Overhead, in the remaining time in the two minute window to accumulate as many Pull Ups as possible. 

After resting for 1 minute they will complete 3 rounds of Macho Man followed by accumulating as many Chest to Bar as possible in the remaining time. 


After resting for 1 minute they will complete 4 rounds of Macho Man followed by accumulating as many Bar Muscle Ups as possible in the remaining time.

Workout Flow
 
On 3,2,1 Go the athlete will complete 50 Double Unders, followed by 10 Pistol Squats, completing 5 on one leg before completing 5 on the other, then 2 Wall Walks.

Then moving into 75 Double Unders, followed by 20 Pistol Squats in sets of 5 on each leg then 4 Wall Walks.

Then moving into 100 Double Unders, followed by 30 Pistol Squats in sets of 5 on each leg then 6 Wall Walks.
