About This Competition
The BlackOut 2026
Join us August 1st, 2026 at Spark Fit Training in Marietta, GA for The Blackout Team Edition — a same-sex partner fitness competition celebrating strength, community, and excellence.
This year, we're proud to partner with Spark Fit Training, a Black-owned, co-ed gym dedicated to building champions. Compete alongside your partner in an electric atmosphere featuring live DJs, incredible vendors, and a community that lifts each other up.
Event Details:
Date: August 1, 2026
Location: Spark Fit Training, 2673 Canton Road, Marietta, GA 30066
Format: Same-sex two-person teams
Competition Cap: 40 teams (80 athletes)
What to Expect: High-energy workouts, live entertainment, vendor village, and a celebration of Black fitness excellence
Whether you're a seasoned competitor or stepping onto the competition floor for the first time, the Atlanta Masters Classic is your stage. Bring your A-game, bring your partner, and bring your people.

RX DIVISION (REQUIRED ABILITIES)
Athletes signing up for RX should be able to:
BARBELL
Deadlift: 155 (Women) / 225 (Men) for multiple reps
Dumbbell movements: 35 (Women) / 50 (Men) consistently
Olympic lifts:
Comfortable with snatch and clean & jerk
Able to successfully lift moderate to heavy weights under fatigue
GYMNASTICS
Pull-Ups: Unassisted (kipping or butterfly)
Toes-to-Bar: Able to perform consistent sets
Handstand Push-Ups: Full range of motion to standard (kipping allowed)
Should not rely on singles for most movements
MONOSTRUCTURAL
Double Unders: Consistent (not limited to singles)
Rowing: Able to maintain a steady pace without long breaks
GENERAL EXPECTATION
Able to complete workouts as written without modifying movements or loads
Able to perform most movements in multiple reps, not just singles
Comfortable training at moderate to high intensity
SCALED DIVISION (GUIDELINES)
Athletes who need to modify any of the following should register for Scaled:
BARBELL
Unable to consistently move RX weights
Need reduced loads on deadlifts, dumbbells, or barbell lifts
GYMNASTICS
Need modifications for:
Pull-ups (bands or ring rows)
Toes-to-bar (knee raises or other options)
Handstand push-ups (box/pike or pressing movements)
MONOSTRUCTURAL
Cannot consistently perform double unders
Need to substitute with single unders or reduced volume
GENERAL EXPECTATION
Scaled division will provide:
Reduced loads
Modified gymnastics options
Athletes should still be able to complete workouts and maintain movement standards
NOTES
All movement standards follow basic CrossFit guidelines
Choose your division based on what you can do consistently, not your best-case scenario
