Flying Phoenixes Fundraiser
About This Competition
Get ready to test your fitness and support a great cause!
The Rise Recover Lift team from CrossFit Lowell is hosting a special fundraiser workout (WOD) featuring one of the challenging workouts from The Phoenix Classic Competition in Jersey and another spicy little WOD to end the day in an inferno :)
This exciting event aims to raise funds for The Phoenix, a nationwide sober active community that has transformed countless lives through the power of connection, resilience, and fitness. With over 427,000 members served and 122,000 events hosted by 18,500 volunteers, The Phoenix is a true beacon of hope for individuals in recovery.
The competition format:3-person same-sex teams
Three divisions: Scaled, Mixed, and RX
There is a $45 per team suggested donation, but any donation is appreciated!
Cash day of is accepted or feel free to donate at the link on your right :)
We will also be having a clothing and gear yard sale during this event! If you have stuff you would like to donate please reach out to Tiffany at tfoster@thephoenix.org or 978-605-3937. You will find some awesome things at amazing prices!!

Workouts
Flying Phoenix
2 rnds for Time
Athlete A) 50 double unders/50 single unders
21 toes to bar/knees to chest
Athlete B) 75 double unders/25 single unders
15 chest to bar pullups/jumping pullups
Athlete C) 100 double unders/single unders
9 bar muscle ups/chin over bar pullups
8 Minutes to jump fast and fly high!
This workout allows each athlete to pick their gymnastics poison.
On 3,2,1 go Athlete A will complete 50 double unders/single under and 21 toes to bar/knees to chest. Athlete 2 will complete 75 double unders/single unders and 15 chest to bar/jumping pull ups. Athlete C will complete 100 double unders/single unders and 9 bar muscleups/ chin over bar pullups. This cycle will repeat for a total of 2 rnds. Athletes may not change tasks during the workout. If a team does not complete the workout their score will be total reps completed
AMRAP in 6 mins
6 DB Snatches (35/50RX) (25/35 Sc)
6 Burppes over DB (Jump RX) (Step Sc)
One athlete works at time, one athlete holds their DB Overhead, and one athlete rests.
Rise Above the burn in this fast paced leap frog full rnd burner!
6 Mins to accumulate as many rnd and reps of DB Snatches and Burpees as possible!
On 3,2,1 go Athlete A will complete 6 DB snatches and 6 burpees over the db, Athlete B will complete 6 DB snatches and 6 Burpees over the DB, Athlete C will complete 6 DB snatches and 6 burpees over the dumbell. While one Athlete is working one athlete MUST be holding their DB over head while one is resting. This cycle continues until 6 minutes is up! The team with the most reps win. There is a tiebreak score at 3 minutes! So start out blazing and eep blazing!
