About This Competition

Join us for a morning of community fun, sweat and connection as we raise funds for the Movember Foundation. Tickets are $15 per person with all proceeds going to the Movember Foundation.

In mixed teams of 4, you'll battle it out for first, second and third place in a mixture of functional fitness style workouts. There will be drinks and supplement vendors to keep you hydrated and fueled for your workouts.

Please be there 7AM Sharp. Workouts will not be explained, make sure you are across everything before the day. Dont forget bring a water bottle and towel. Lets go!

Mixed teams (2 male, 2 female) over 3 workouts in Everyday or Advanced Athlete divisions.

Workouts


Event 1 - Bar Fight
Duration: 10 minutes

Find heavy complex
2 athletes: 1 Clean + 3 Shoulder to Overhead
2 athletes: 1 Clean + 2 Hang Cleans + 3RM Front Squat


Rules:
● Females lift first, once heaviest complex found, males begin.
● Athletes can move up and down weights each attempt.
● Squats & Overhead reps, arms/legs must be locked out at the end of the rep and bar controlled, passed by the judge.
● Complex must be completed unbroken from the floor

Score: Combined KGs across team


Rest: 20 minutes


Event 2 - Hang Around
Duration: 10 minutes


Synchro DB Hang Snatch (M/F Pair 1): 60 reps
Synchro BB Hang Clean + Press (M/F Pair 2): 60 reps


Remaining Time:
All athletes perform Synchro Devil’s Press (1 DB)


Rules:
● Only one DB/BB pair can work through reps at a time.
● The pair not working must deadlift hold BB / maintain an overhead hold (DBs) for reps to count.
● M/F Pairs can swap anytime between BBs and DBs
● Snatch and HC+P Synchro Overhead, arms and legs must be locked out at the end of the rep
● Devil’s Press must synchro DB overhead only, arms and legs locked out.
Weights:


Everyday: 1x DB 20/12.5 kg, BB 40/25 kg
Advanced: 1x DB 22.5/15 kg, BB 50/30 kg


Score: Synchro Devils Press reps accumulated


Rest: 20 minutes

Events 3 + 4 - Switch ‘n’ Rip / Deadweight (Run concurrently)

Event 3: Switch ‘n’ Rip

Duration: 10 minutes


Bike & Ski - Complete calorie targets on each erg in YGIG format
M/F1 on Bike, M/F2 on Ski


Rules:
Athletes can swap anytime between the selected erg and Deadball.
M/F pair must stay on the same erg.
Both ergs must complete cal target before time is scored and all athletes can move to deadballs.

Score: Complete cal target (each erg) for time

Everyday cal target: 120 cals
Advanced cal target: 160 cals

Event 4: Deadweight
Synchro Deadball Squats (Accumulated Reps)


Athletes that are not on the ergs will accumulate Synchro Deadball Squats while calories are being accumulated.

Once all calories (on each erg) are completed, pairs switch to YGIG Deadball Squats.


Rules:
Athletes can swap anytime between the selected erg and Deadball.
M/F pair must stay on the same erg.
Full depth squat, Hip crease inline/below top of knee
Deadball can be held on shoulder/back or against torso 
Synchro is standing at the top, hips through for both Athletes.


Weights:
Everyday: Deadball 35/20 kg
Advanced: Deadball 50/35 kg


Score: Total accumulated Synchro Deadball Squats across team (YGIG)
