About This Competition

PUMPKIN PAIR UP 2022

- Saturday 29th October from 12pm

- Teams of 2

- All abilities welcome. Each workout will have several options to ensure everyone can have a go.

- Any combination of Pair is allowed in both gender & ability i.e. you don't have to be at similar levels as workout specs will be based on the individual. 

- This is a single division competition with all workout options treated equally. Athletes will be prescribed an option based on their Crossfit Open Level where possible. Athletes will be able to move up options if they prefer (& want to challenge themselves more) but won't be able to move down.

- Prizes for Winners plus best dressed.

Buy In:

- 6 Rounds

     - 6 Synchro DB Thrusters

     - 6 Synchro Situps

     - 6 Synchro Hand Release Pressups

Rest until 10 minute mark then

- 6 Minute AMRAP Devils Press (1 person working at a time)

- 2 scored event

      - Time to complete the buyin

      - Total Devils Press reps

Dumbell

- RX- Male 22.5kg, Female 15kg 

- Scaled Recommendation- Male 15kg, Female 10kg

Deadlifts

- RX- Male 100kg, Female 70kg

- Scaled Recommendation- Male 70kg, Female 40kg

DEATHS ROW

For Time & Reps:

- You Go I Go Format

- 10 Rounds Total Calories on a Rower

- "Resting" Athlete performs AMRAP Deadlifts

- This is a 2 scored event

     - Time taken to complete the Row

     - Total Deadlifts done in the "rest" period

HOLD ON PARTNER

For Time:

- You Go I Go Format

- 6 Rounds

     - 12 Kettlebell Swings

     - 10 Kettlebell Sumo Squats

     - 8 Kettlebell Single Arm Overhead Lunges

- "Resting" Athlete holds a Sandbag for duration of partner's round

- Work can only be done whilst the Sandbag is being held (i.e. if it's dropped the other Athlete must stop until it is back being held or a round can't commence until the "resting" athlete has picked the Sandbag up)

Kettlebell

- RX- Male 24kg, Female 16kg 

- Scaled Recommendation- Male 16kg, Female 8kg

Sandbag

- RX- Male 40kg, Female 30kg

- Scaled Recommendation Male 30kg, Female 20kg
