2016 Thriller Throwdown

Join us on Sunday, October 23  for a day of packed adrenaline, intensity and Halloween fun! Represent your box and see if you and your partner have what it takes to battle against other partner teams.

Teams of two of same gender will compete in a 3-WOD event. This event will showcase skill and strength in a teamwork environment. There will be three divisions to choose from, Scaled, Intermediate and RX.

WOD 1 (Thruster the 13th):
Max total Thrusters in 13 minutes w/ 5 lateral barbell burpees EMOM (shared reps, one works at a time):
Rx Division: (115/75)      Intermediate Division: (95/65)      Scaled Division: (75/55)
Note: Each partner must start at top of minute. Can’t swap partners in the middle of the minute.

WOD 2 (The Apocalypse)
As many reps and calories in 10 minutes:
Partners swap between movements and rower after every round until 10 minutes expire.

Rx Division:
3 Bar Muscle-ups
7x HSPU
5 Power Snatches (115/75)
5 Overhead Squats
Calorie Row

Intermediate Division:
10  Pull-ups
10 Barbell Push-ups
5 Power Snatches (95/65)
5 Overhead Squats
Calorie Row

Scaled Division:
10 Jumping Pull-ups
10 Hand-release Push-ups
5 Power Snatches (75/55)
5x Overhead Squats
Calorie Row

Partners swap between movements and Calorie row after every round until 10 minutes expire.

WOD 3 (The Wodding Dead):
Part 1: AMRAP in 5 minutes (shared reps, one works at a time)
Rx Division:
20 Toes to bar
10 Dumbbell Hang cleans (55/35)

Intermediate Division:
20 Toes to bar
10 Dumbbell Hang cleans (35/25)

Scaled Division:
40 Knee Raises
10 Dumbbell Hang cleans (25/20)

Part 2: 2 Rounds for time
75 double-unders (150 singles for scaled) & 100m Dumbbell farmers carry. Dumbbell weight same as Part 1.
Both movements are performed at the same time and must be completed before swapping movements/starting next round.

There are no refunds; however, you can substitute athletes if needed or injured.

All participating athletes receive a gift bag which include a competitor t-shirt and give-aways from our sponsors.

Valued prizes for all that place podium and best costume!!

No charge for spectators.

We will also be emailing all the participants additional information prior to the event, including the heat schedule.

We will be capping the amount of teams, so don't miss out!
Bring your “A” game and we’ll provide the rest!!

In addition to the free parking in the common area of the building complex, Lowe's has given us permission to park in their area but only along our shared fence (north side of Lowe's bldg).
