2 min Max Toes To Bar (Female)
**1 female must hold SB in Bearhug while other does Toes To Bar (100lbs)
30 Second Transition then....
2 min Max Toes To Bar (Male)
**1 male must hold SB in Bearhug while other does Toes To Bar (150lb)
On "3, 2, 1, GO," the designated female athlete will undertake the Bear Hug Sand Bag Hold, supporting a sandbag weighing approximately 100lbs in the bear hug position. Simultaneously, Athlete 2 will initiate the toes to bar. The athlete performing toes to bar CANNOT begin until her partner is holding the sandbag in an upright position. A time frame of 2 minutes is allocated for the athletes to accumulate as many toes to bar repetitions as possible. During this interval, athletes retain the flexibility to switch between the sandbag hold and toes-to-bar exercises at their discretion.
Upon the expiration of the 2-minute duration, a brief 30-second transition will occur. In this phase, male athletes will assume the same sequence, with one athlete holding the sandbag in a bear hug position while the other engages in toes-to-bar exercises. Again, the athlete performing toes to bar CANNOT begin until his partner is holding the sandbag in an upright position.
Scoring: Total Toes to Bar
Movement Standards:
Toes to bar: Athlete must go from a full hang position to having the toes touch the pull-up bar. Both feet must be in contact with the bar at the same time, inside the hands. The arms and hips must be fully extended at the bottom and feet must be brought back behind the vertical plane of the bar and behind the body.
Bear Hug Sand Bag Hold: Athletes start by lifting a sandbag and securing it in a bear hug position, tightly against the chest with arms wrapped around it. Athletes may not have assistance on the first lift off but can hand the bag to each other in transitions. Athletes cannot be resting the sandbag on shoulders or knees and must be in the upright position.

Females Each Establish a 5rm Front Squat
30 second transition
5 mins
Males Each Establish a 5rm Front Squat
On "3, 2, 1, Go," female athletes will be given 5 minutes to establish a 5 repetition maximum (5rm) Front Squat. Female athletes will be given one 35lb barbell that will begin empty on the ground. All four athletes will be allowed to assist in loading the barbell.
Immediately following the 5-minute period for female athletes, a 30-second transition will be given to facilitate the substitution of bars. Males will be given one empty 45lb barbell. Once the 30 second transition has passed, all 4 athletes are then allowed to assist in loading the barbell. Male athletes will have a 5-minute window to determine a 5rm Front Squat.
It is imperative to note that the fifth repetition must be successfully executed within the stipulated time frame of 5 minutes for all participants.
Score: Total of each athlete’s highest successful 5rm
Movement Standards
Front Squat - In each set of front squats, initiation begins with the barbell on the ground. A full squat clean is allowed but not mandatory as the starting movement. The athlete's hip crease must distinctly descend below the top of the knees in the bottom of the squat. The bar is required to be maintained in the front-rack position; however, the hands do not need to remain on the bar. For the front squat itself, a repetition is considered good when the athlete achieves full extension of the hips and knees, with the bar supported in the front-rack position.
5 - 1 Min Intervals Each (MM and FF Pairs)
15/12 Cals on Assault Bike
Max Synchro PVC pipe facing burpees
On "3, 2, 1, Go," male athletes will begin their first interval by completing 15 calories each on the Assault Bike, utilizing two bikes. Once both bikes have reached the 15 calorie mark, the male athletes will use the remaining duration of the one minute to perform synchronized PVC pipe facing burpees. The PVC pipe will be positioned approximately 5 inches above the ground.
Upon the expiration of the males’ one minute interval, female athletes will begin their first interval completing 12 calories each on the Assault Bike, utilizing two bikes. Once both bikes have reached the 12 calorie mark, the female athletes will use the remainder of the one minute to perform synchronized PVC pipe facing burpees.
This cycle will be iterated a total of 5 times throughout the course of the event.
Please note that athletes are entrusted with the responsibility of clearing their respective screens. Failure to reset the calorie count will render the accrued calories invalid, necessitating the athlete to recommence the sequence. Female athletes are allowed to reset and adjust bikes while male pairs are performing synchro burpees and vice versa for the male athletes.
Score: Total Synchro Burpees
TIE BREAK: If there is an OVERALL TIE and TIE AMONG 1st PLACE FINISHES, THE TOTAL OF THE FIRST ROUND FROM EACH PAIR WILL BE THE TIE BREAKER.
Movement Standards:
Assault Bike - Athletes will start on a 0 screen and remain on their bike until their calories are reached. Athletes may not leave early hoping the bike will roll to their number.
Synchro PVC Pipe Facing Burpee - The movement begins with the 2 athletes facing the PVC pipe. A burpee will be performed with both athletes touching their chest and thighs to the ground and finishes when the athletes jump over the PVC pipe. In addition to the PVC pipe that is being jumped over, there will be perpendicular tape lines for each athlete to serve as guides. In the bottom position, the center of the athlete’s chest must be on this line, and the feet and hands must be straddling the line. All athletes’ chests must be on the ground at the same time for the rep to count. Athletes may step or jump in and out of the push-up position. You may jump with one foot or two. Both feet must be in the air at the same time. Each rep is counted when the athlete lands on the ground on the opposite side of the PVC pipe. From there, athletes may begin their next rep.
For Time in M/F Pairs
Time cap 13 mins
50 Cals on Rower Male/40 Cals on Rower Female (Simultaneously) (Pair 1)
60 Synchro box jump overs (24/20) (Pair 1)
30 Synchro Thrusters* (All Team)
60 Synchro box jump overs (24/20) (Pair 2)
50 Cals on Rower Male/40 Cals on Rower Female (Simultaneously) (Pair 2)
*These will be Barbell Thrusters (95/65) for one pair and KB Thrusters (35s/25s) for the other
On “3, 2, 1, Go," the initial pair of athletes will begin their row, each designated to an individual rower. After achieving the required rowing calories, the pair will proceed to execute synchronized box jump overs. The synchronization criterion requires both athletes to be atop the box simultaneously for the repetition to be deemed valid. Athletes are NOT required to stand tall on the box, but the action of stepping up is prohibited.
Following the completion of 60 synchronized box jump overs, the four-athletes will all engage in synchronized thrusters. The prescribed thruster weights are 95/65 on the bar and 35/25 on the kettlebells. The repetition is complete when all athletes are locked out overhead at the same time. Notably, the choice of thruster form is discretionary for each pair; however, athletes are restricted from changing their selected form during the 30-repetition interval.
Upon completing the 30 synchro thrusters, the second pair of athletes will proceed to the box jumps and subsequently the rowesr. Time cap is 13 minutes.
Scoring: Time (If time capped, every rep remaining is 1 second added)
Movement Standards:
Barbell Thruster: This is a standard barbell thruster in which the barbell moves from the bottom of a front squat to full lockout overhead. The bar starts on the ground; no racks allowed. The hip crease must clearly pass below the top of the knees in the bottom position. A full squat clean into the thruster is allowed if the bar starts on the ground. The barbell must come to a full lockout overhead with the hips, knees and arms fully extended, and the bar directly over the body. The synchronized portion of the movement is counted at the top of the reps, meaning all athletes MUST be locked out overhead in full extension at the same time for the reps to count
Kettlebell Thruster: These are standard kettlebell thrusters where both kettlebells move from the bottom of a front squat to full lockout overhead. All kettlebells start on the ground. The hip creases must clearly pass below the tops of the knees in the bottom position. Full squat cleans into the thrusters are allowed if all kettlebells start on the ground. All kettlebells must come to a full lockout overhead with the hips, knees, and arms fully extended, and all kettlebells directly over the bodies. The synchronized portion of the movement is counted at the top of the reps, meaning all athletes MUST be locked out overhead in full extension at the same time for the reps to count.
Row Cals: Athletes may be sitting on the rower before the clock starts, but may not be touching the handle. Athletes can adjust damper/foot positioning as needed. Athletes will be responsible for turning the screens on each heat. If the rower handle is let go/snapped, a 2-minute penalty will be assessed. Athletes must place handle back in the cradle.
Box Jump Over: The athlete starts with both feet on the ground on one side of the box. Do NOT angle the box and jump or step up on the corner. A lateral jump over the box (starting with the feet parallel to the box) IS permitted. The rep is credited when both feet have touched the ground on the opposite side of the box, allowing the athlete to begin their next rep. A two-foot takeoff is always required, and only the athlete’s feet may touch the box. After landing on the box, the both athletes have to be on the box at the same time, the athletes can then go to the other side. There is no requirement to stand tall while on top of the box. STEP UPS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
