Sun's Out Guns Out Throwdown is a partner competition with RX and scaled M/F, M/M, and F/F teams.  The event will take place August 23rd at CrossFit Maximus beginning at 8 AM.
Registration opens May 4th.

Workouts

5 Rounds Each (one person completes full round, then partner goes)

8 Toes to Bar (Hanging Knee Raises)
8 Thrusters (115/95) (85/65)
8 Cals Bike

WOD 2 - ( 14 Minute AMRAP) You go, I go Heatwave Hustle 

10 Alt DB Snatch (50/35)(35/20)
8 Box Jump Overs (24/20) (scale -Stepovers)
3 Wall Walks
100 ft OH Walking Lunge (Must complete 50 ft then switch arms)

12-Minute AMRAP – Partner Sync Style
Each round, both partners do the following at the same time:

Row 12/10 Calories (each)
10 Front Squats (155/105 RX | 95/65 Scaled)
10 Pull-Ups (Scale: Jumping Pull-Ups)
Both partners row at the same time, then move to their own barbell and pull-up station
Partners must start each movement together but do individual reps at their own pace
Can’t advance to the next movement until both have finished the current one
Score = Total rounds completed as a team

5 Rounds for Time (Cap 8 Minutes):

8 Deadlifts (225/155 RX | 155/105 Scaled) – each partner
8 Synchro Bar-Facing Burpees (two ft take off, scale is step overs)

 

5 Rounds for Time (Cap 8 Minutes):

6-Minute Clean Ladder – Partner Workout - Every minute
(1 Bar per team – Alternating Reps)

Round 1: 155/105 (95/65)
Round 2: 175/125 (115/85)
Round 3: 195/145 (135/105)
(Both partners must hit 1 rep at each weight before moving on.)


Rounds 4–6 (Choose Your Weight):

Each round, increase weight (must be heavier than previous round)


Each partner attempts 1 clean per round


Score = Heaviest successful clean for each partner
