Welcome to North Rim CrossFit's Bidwell Brawl!

WHEN: September 23, 2023

TIME: 9:00AM Start Time

(7:30 AM Check-In)

DETAILS: Teams of 2

*same sex partners (MM/FF)

*Rx Division

$150 per Team (GUARANTEED t-shirt if you register by 9/01!)

*CASH PRIZE

Athletes will compete in 4 Scored Events

After all teams have completed the first 4 events, we will then announce the Top 5 Male & Female pairs to throwdown in a Final Event.

 

MOVEMENT STANDARDS:

- One partner must be able to perform Muscle Ups (both bar and ring)

- One partner must be able to perform Double Unders

- Both partners must be able to perform common RX movements found in the CrossFit Open (Wall Ball, Thruster, Row, Bench, etc)

Please note that we will not be issuing any refunds once registered. However, if you can find a substitute team to take your place you are free to do so. If the occasion arises please email shea@northrimcrossfit.com with this information prior to Sept. 16th.

Workouts

Snatch Ladder

Men's Weights: 155, 165, 175, 185, 195, 205, 215, 225, 245

Women's Weights: 85, 95, 105, 115, 125, 135, 145, 155, 165

 

Athletes will have 30 seconds to complete a snatch at each barbell, with a 20 second rest for transitioning between barbells. You may attempt as many times as you would like within the 30 seconds. 

Score is both heaviest completed weights combined. If only one partner fails at a specific weight, the other athlete who successfully lifted may move on in the ladder. Once both athletes fail they will be done. 

If you clear the ladder, you get to call out your last weight for a final attempt.

 

"Death By" 

Echo Bike

Start at 15/12 Calories

Add 2 Calories each minute until failure

 

Athletes may break up calories however they wish within the minute. One athlete may perform all calories if they wish. Bike monitor must display total number of calories per round in order to continue. 

 

Your Score will be total calories completed.

For Time:

180 Wall Balls 20/14#

60 Double Unders (Each)

30 Ring Muscle Ups

This workout is a chipper. You must complete one movement entirely before moving onto the next. One athlete will work at a time, and athletes may split up the wall balls and muscle ups however they'd like. However each athlete must perform 60 double unders EACH. 

 

Your score is total reps. Your tie break time will be the time at which you finish the workout or (for those who don't complete all reps) the time at which you finish your double unders.

Partner 1

12 Toes to Bar

Partner 2

10-8-6-4-2 Devils Press (50's/35's)

*Once finished, switch movements and repeat in reverse.

- 12 Min Cap -

 

At 3, 2, 1 GO... Partner 1 performs 12 Toes to Bar. Then Partner 2 performs 10 Devils Press. Partner 1 will continue performing 12 Toes to Bar in between each of Partner 2's declining reptitions of Devil Press. Once the workout as written is completed, partners will switch movements and perform the workout in reverse.

 

Your score will be the time at which you finish the workout. If you do not complete all repititions by the 12 min time camp, you will add 1 second for every repitition not completed. For example if you only had 10 repitions left, your time will be 12:10.

Max DB Bench Press (50's/35's)

 

Row may be partitioned anyway. However BOTH athletes must row a total of 700m for men and 500m for women before moving to the Bench Press. 

 

Your score is total reps of Bench Press.
