About This Competition

 

The Masters League is proud to announce for 2022 a Team Series competition. This is designed to allow teams of 2 from all over Australia and Internationally to compete against each other in multiple divisions. Teams of 2 consist of one Male and one female.

 

HOW IT WORKS

The Team Series competition starts with a one day event that will be held on the 16th of July 2022 as a Virtual Competition.

The mixed pairs teams will be given 3 workouts that are to be completed on the one day.

This competition is open to the following athletes residing in:

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

TASMANIA (AUSTRALIA)

NORTHERN TERRITORY (AUSTRALIA)

ACT (AUSTRALIA)

EUROPE

ASIA

NORTH AMERICA

SOUTH AMERICA

SOUTH AFRICA

NEW ZEALAND


The Top two Teams on the day from each Division and age group will qualify and compete at the Masters League Games on the 14-16th of October in Melbourne Australia.

NOTE: This Competition is also open to athletes that DO NOT want to qualify for the 2022 Masters League Games 

THINGS TO CONSIDER

Warrior athletes cannot compete in Soldier same as Hero in Warrior but Soldier may compete in either Warrior and Hero divisions.

Individual Athletes that make it through to the 2022 ML Games are also able to compete in the Mixed Pairs Team Series.

NOTE: TEAM SERIES ATHLETES THAT HAVE NOT REGISTERED FOR THE 2022 ML OPEN MAY STILL PARTICIPATE.

ACCEPTABLE WITHIN A TEAM

If you are competing in the Warrior division and your partner is aged between 40-44 and you are aged between 35-39, you must register in the 35-39 age group.

FLOW:

This workout begins with both athletes starting behind a line at least 2m from the rig.
After the call of 3, 2, 1 GO both athletes will run over to complete 2 rounds of 18 synchronised T2B and front squats. Then they will both move to the next 2 movements and complete 2 rounds of 12 synchronised Pull Ups and S2OH.
From there they will move to complete the last 2 rounds of 9 synchronised BMU and Thrusters.
Both athletes must then run back to the start line.

This is a relay style workout, athlete 1 must complete the whole round before athlete 2 begins.

It is your team’s decision on who starts the first round.

FLOW:

This workout begins with one athlete seated on the row with hands behind there back and their partner standing just behind the rower.
After the call of 3, 2, 1 GO the athlete on the rower may begin there 30/25 Cal row, followed by 20 handstand push ups, 10 squat clean and finish off with another 20 handstand push ups.

Once the first athlete has completed their last round of handstand push ups the second athlete may begin with their 30/25 Cal Row, followed by 20 handstand push ups, 10 squat cleans and then 20 handstand push ups.
This workout is For Time with a 12min time cap.

Note: When the first athlete has completed their row, the second athlete may sit on the rower and wait until their partner has completed all required movements.
