About This Competition
Welcome to the Ninth Annual Barbell Massacre - North Georgia's Premier Partner Competition hosted by CrossFit Dahlonega!
CrossFit Dahlonega is overjoyed and stoked to have YOU show up and show out to prove that you are in fact the fittest partner pair in North Georgia.
There will be a cash prize for 1st place finishers in both the Rx and Scaled Divisions!

* This timeline is mere best speculation based off of estimated Team Registration, Teams/Heat, and Heat Time Length. Official Heat times and schedule will be released week of competition.
DAY OF DETAILS
- Parking will be held at Struxure across the street.
- Arrive and Check-In: 7:15 to 7:45
- Feel free to bring pop-up tents, chairs, coolers, etc.
- No alcohol, please.
- Pets must all be on leash and outside the compeition area at all times.
- Vendors will be on site for food and drinks (details to come).

FOR TIME (5:00 CAP):
- 20 sandbag squats (100/70)
- 100m sandbag carry (100/70)
- 50’ rope sled pull (90/70)
- 50’ sled push (90/70)

SCALED: 70/50 lb sandbag, 70/45 lb sled
SCORE:
- The total time to complete all work will be the score for this workout. If a team is unable to complete the required amount of work, the total reps completed in the TIME CAP (5:00) will be the score.
COMPLETE 2 ROUNDS STRAIGHT THROUGH:
In :90
- 15/12 cal row
- AMRAP bench press (135/85)
* Partner A does :90, then Partner B does :90,
then...
In :90
- 15/12 cal airbike
- AMRAP thrusters (115/75)
* Partner A does :90, then Partner B does :90,
... then start back at the rower for Round 2.
SCALED: 12/9 cal, 95/65 bench press, 75/55 thrusters
SCORING:
- The total number of thrusters and bench press reps completed by each athlete in each AMRAP combined together will be the score for this workout.
FOR LOAD (IN 6:00)
Complete a complex for as heavy a load as possible in 6:00 of:
- 4 deadlifts
- 3 hang cleans
- 2 front squats
- 1 shoulder to overhead
* Being a complex, the entire lift must be unbroken, without the bar ever resting on the floor.
SCORING:
- This is a two part workout, with two seperate scores.
- Total weight of each individual athletes complex combined (Athlete A weight + Athlete B weight = Score 1), and total number of calories accumulated on ski-erg between both athletes (Score 2)
- If there is a tie in total weight lifted, the ski-erg calories will be the tiebreaker.
NOTES:
This is a revisit of the BBM7 WOD #1, just inverted with the lifting first and then the max calories, and it is on the ski-erg instead of the airbike.

SCORING:
- The total number of calories accumulated on the ski-erg will be the score for this workout.
AMRAP 9
- 30 toes to bar
- 100 Double Unders
- 50’ single arm KB overhead walking lunges (53/35 lb)
SCALED: knee raises, single unders, 35/26
SCORING:
- The total number of rounds completed in 9 minutes + any additional reps will be the score for this workout.
NOTES:
- The OHWL will be scored in 5’ increments (1 rep/5’ increment)
