About This Competition

 

Welcome to THE BATTLE OF THE BAY 2024.

We're excited to anounce the Return of Battle of The Bay at CrossFit Coyote Valley. 

We have 4 Divisions available for all level of athletes making this one of the most inclusive Single day fitness competions anywhere.

In honor of Veterans day Weekend we will be donating part of the proceeds and having raffles to donate to Veterans Non Profit.

Divisions 

Rx Individual- Athletes who completed The Open Rx. All movements are on the table. Bring your A Game

Masters 40+ a mix of Intermediate and Rx lifestyle. age is just a number!

Intermdiate PAIRS M/F- An exciting new Divisions which allows you to find a friend with whom you can mix and match your strengths. Most or all movements should be able to be completed between the pair. If you both can compete in the RX division and complete the open as written this is not for you. 

Scaled Individual- For novice friends and people who have never competed in fitness. *note this is still competitive but movements and weights will be similar to scaled movements in The Open. **IF YOU PODIUMED ON SCALED IN A PREVIOUS YEAR WE SUGGEST LEVELING UP ;)

 

 

Cap 24 teams, No other division cap

100 Athletes total 

Cash Prizes will be rewarded for average placement for 2 part workouts.

Partners are rotating between the deadlift bar and the wall on each movement. The partner
who is HOLDING must maintain the hold while working partner completes the reps. If the
holding partner drops the hold, the working partner must stop until the hold is resumed.
Wall hold can be done either by kicking up onto the wall, or by doing a full or scaled wall
walk and holding in that position.
Deadlift hold bar must be held above the ground by only the hands (ie no hip pocket hold).
Deadlift weight is 275/185.
Score 1: Time (if completed) or Reps (if not completed)

Part 2:
Max kipping handstand push ups
Score 2: total reps
Kipping HSPU can be performed by either partner but only 1 partner can work at a time.
