About This Competition

WELCOME TO THE OCEANIA CHAMPIONSHIP & PROJECT 1

Athlete & Event Information

Gold Coast, Australia | May 29–31, 2026

For the first time ever, the Oceania Championship and PROJECT 1 will come together to create one of the first ever combined CrossFit and Hybrid Fitness racing weekends in the Southern Hemisphere.

Three massive days of elite competition, community racing, live entertainment, and world-class fitness action, all hosted on the Gold Coast, Australia.

The Oceania Championship is a CrossFit Licensed Event and the flagship event within the Championship Event Series, delivering elite-level competition through a structured online and in-person qualification pathway across the Oceania region.

Alongside the CrossFit competition, PROJECT 1 (P1) introduces a new era of Hybrid Fitness Racing - combining endurance, strength, speed, and grit into one high-intensity race format for both elite and everyday athletes.

Powered by WFP and proudly partnered with PRVN Fitness, this event weekend is designed to showcase the future of fitness competition across multiple disciplines and divisions.

Whether you’re competing on the CrossFit floor, racing in PROJECT 1, or cheering from the crowd, this will be an unforgettable experience.

CROSSFIT

The journey to the competition floor begins with the 2026 Individual and Team Online Qualifiers hosted on Competition Corner.

Athletes will complete a series of tests designed to challenge:

* Strength
* Skill
* Fitness
* Work capacity
* Resilience
* Strategy under pressure

All performances will be judged, validated, and ranked on the official leaderboard, with the top athletes and teams in each division earning their invitation to the live finals on the Gold Coast.

DIVISIONS

* Adaptive Divisions

The event is designed to provide opportunities for both emerging athletes and elite competitors while continuing to raise the standard for inclusive, high-performance competition throughout Oceania.

As an official CrossFit Licensed Event, all athletes advancing to the in-person finals must hold an active CrossFit.com account.
