About This Competition

The first Outtrain competition at its new home ,in the yard !!


Mixed teams of 4 (2 F and 2 M)


All things functional. DJs all day long, food vans, coffee van, Good vibes.

Arrival 10am for 10.30am start.

The event will end by 3pm with an option to use the ice baths , sauna etc afterwards.

Spectators are welcome to use this through the day too


A series of workouts and final will be held inside the large barn on the farm , followed by optional saunas, ice baths, hot tubs recovery.

Drinks by Coppertree bar and Waffles and coffee by Waffle and Co


Start time 10.30am

Briefing 10.30- 11am.


Workouts will be released 1 week before the competition.


Typical weights / movements

SA and Dual DB 15kg + (Male) 12.5kg+(Female)

Sandbag 40kg+ (Male) 30kg+ (Female)

Box jumps (No step up)

Ergs

Barbells

Probably some surprises.


The location has lots of free parking on site, 20 mins drive from Cambridge. Spectators welcome and come for free.

Workouts

Stage 1. 


Mixed pair 


P1,P2 - 600m Ski (break up how you like) 

P3,P4 – Bear hold sandbag carry 10m to the wall and back x 2

Bag Over the wall

(female 30kg , Male 40kg)


Sand bag must return to start position 


Pairs must swap when 600m ski is complete. 


Stage 1 – scored on combined time taken to complete.


Stage 2.

P1,P2 - 800m Ski 

P3,P4 Sand bag shuttle runs X 2 (Each run is 20m) into 15 synchro bag to shoulder


Pairs must swap when 800m ski is complete. 


Scored on combined time taken to complete 


Time remaining – Max sand bag shuttle runs - each run is 20m 1 athlete working at one time

scored on lengths completed

PART B


In remainder of time max power cleans @ CHOOSE LOAD (Minimum 25/40kg)


Load for barbells must be decided prior to the start of the workout by the team weight put on as soon as the last 250m row is completed


Reps and total load completed in remaining time- Score is rep x weight
