About This Competition
BABIES TO BOOMERS
ONE ONLINE QUALIFIER, TWO COMPS

The Masters Fitness Collective and the Pit Fitness Ranch are teaming up to offer one online qualifier for our respective competitions Sept. 1-5 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Three Rivers, Michigan.
About the qualifiers: These OLQs will be from June 10-19, 2021. All workouts will be released at 8 p.m. EST June 9, and scores must be in by 8 p.m. EST June 19.
Video submissions will be required of all athletes who qualify for either competition.
The competitions:
Both the Masters Fitness Collective CrossFit® Championship at the U.S. Army CrossFit® Elite Teen Throwdown are licensed CrossFit® events. They will be Sept. 1-5, 2021, in Fort Wayne, Indiana (MFC), and Three Rivers, Michigan (Pit), which just happen to be only 75 miles apart.
Masters Fitness Collective CrossFit® Championship
The Masters Fitness Collective is coming back for its second year, this year as the Masters Fitness Collective CrossFit® Championship.
This year, the competition will be held at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, a short, 8-minute trip from downtown Fort Wayne.
This 110,000 facility will allow us to host a much larger competition with 20 competitors per division and multiple competition floors.
We are excited to bring the competition back and to partner up with the Elite Teen CrossFit Throwdown for the qualifier.
Register for male or female divisions from 30-34 to 65+.
U.S. Army CrossFit® Elite Teen Throwdown
The U.S. Army CrossFit® Elite Teen Throwdown is also coming back for its second year at The Pit, a 65-acre ranch and home of Triple River CrossFit in southern Michigan.
In 2021, we will welcome some 100 athletes and have added a rookie division as well as an elite field of 18-19-year-olds.
Rookies will compete all day Friday, September 3; elites, Sept. 4-5.
Athletes who compete must be ages 14-17**, must have a CrossFit® ID* and must complete these online qualifiers June 10-19, 2021.
All rookies - 40 of you - will qualify.
For the elite divisions, we will offer five spots to the 2021 CrossFit® Games teens by invitation. The other five - 20 total (10 boys, 10 girls) - will qualify here.
For the 18-19 division: All 2020 teens who aged up get an automatic invite to compete. They must accept or decline by June 1. Remaining spots will be filled via this OLQ. We're not yet sure how many spots will be available.
** Using the 2021 CrossFit® season Rulebook:
- Boys and Girls 14-15 (Born on or between 07/15/2005 and 7/14/2007)
- Boys and Girls 16-17 (Born on or between 07/15/2003 and 07/14/2005)
- Men and Women 18-19 (Born on or between 07/15/2001 and 07/14/2003)
Teen comp only: WHAT (WHO) IS A "ROOKIE?"
In the truest definition, "rookie" means first year in a sport. But we're not counting the years. For our comp, rookie means you're newer-ish to CrossFit® competition. Maybe you've dabbled a bit, but you haven't qualified for the big comps like Wodapalooza, Granite Games, The Fittest Experience, etc.
Rookie isn't about age, either. Same age divisions apply. Now, it might be a little bit about ability. Have you not yet mastered some of the higher-skill-required movements like handstand walks, ring muscle ups, scores of unbroken double-unders? Sound like a rookie.
Friday, September 3 is ROOKIE DAY at The Pit. It's all you all day with lots of great stuff planned and a challenging competition built just for you. You'll be given spectator passes for the elite comp, which is September 4-5.
If you're not sure which division to sign up for, talk it over with your coach. Feel free to e-mail us, and we can talk. pitteenthrowdowns@gmail.com.
