About This Competition

Get ready for a fun-filled day of fitness and camaraderie at Wodtoberfest 2024!

📅 Event Date: Saturday - October 5th, 2024

⏰ Time: Athlete check-in begins at 9:00am, Event starts at 10:00am - 3:00pm

📍 Location: Like Water CrossFit, Owosso, Michigan (1047 E Main St)

🅿️ Parking: On-site parking available


Divisions:

Choose your challenge with two divisions: RX and Scaled.  Use your CrossFit Open division to determine which division to choose (don't expect muscle-ups though).  Due to logistics and planning reasons, team divisions cannot be switched once heats are announced.


Team Registration:

Gather your team of two males and two females and secure your spot starting Tuesday, August 14th. Registration closes on September 18th at 11:59pm to guarantee an event swag.  There will be NO refunds, however, you will be able to substitute teammates up until the event date provided it will not change your division.  We get it, things come up.

NOTE:  T-shirts are not available for teams registered after September 22nd.


Prizes:

The top three teams in each division will be take home awesome prizes.  Each participant will receive an event t-shirt and a cold "drink" available at the Avenue Bar & Grill.

Workouts:

Workout 1:  Double Trouble

20-Minute Clock

Part 1: 

3 Rounds for Time

15 Synchro Deadlifts  

15 Synchro Bar-Facing Burpees  

 Synchro Deadlifts: Two males on one bar, two females on the other. Synchronization at the top of the deadlift.  

Burpees: Synchronization on the ground.

Part 2:  

Remaining Time 

 One-Rep Max Power Clean (each team member)  


Two Scores:

Score 1:  Total time for 3 rounds.  

Score 2:  Total team load for the Power Cleans.  

RX Weights: Men 315, Women 225lbs

Scaled Weights:  Men 225, Women 155lbs

Workout 2:  Easy Rider

For Time:  

  2 Rounds  

  100 Single Dumbbell Shoulder-to-Overhead  

  80 Dumbbell Goblet Squats  

  80 Single Dumbbell Snatches  

  Round 1: Male pair splits the reps  

  Round 2: Female pair splits the reps  

  Loading:  RX 50/35lbs, SC 35/20lbs

  Penalty:  5 burpees any time the dumbbell touches the ground

For Calories

- While one pair works through the rounds, the other pair will accumulate as many calories as possible on an assault bike.

Scoring

Score 1:  Total time to complete both rounds

Score 2: Total calories accumulated

Workout 3:  Dirty Dozen

12 Rounds for Time: 

10 Wall Balls (RX 20/14lbs, SC 14/10lbs)

10 Pull-Ups (SC Jumping Pull-Ups) 

10 Toes-to-Bar (SC Knee Raises) 

10 Calorie Row

Team Strategy

Each teammate will complete one round at a time, cycling through all 12 rounds.  

No changes to the order—stick with your rotation!

Sidecar 1:  House of Pain

Sidecar workouts can be done at any time during the duration of the competition. 

For Time:

100 Ski-Erg Calories

25 Synchronized Box Jump-Overs

100 Bike-Erg Calories

RX:  20” and Jump-Overs

SC:  20” and Step-Overs

Sidecar 2:  Sandman

Sidecar 2 will be announced the day of the competition.  The only piece of equipment involved is a dball or sandbag, 70lbs for men and 50lbs for ladies.
