About This Competition

Registration:

·  Registration is now open we will be taking a total of 36 teams divided between all the divisions. Once the Comp hits 36 teams sign up will be closed.

Prizes:

The winner of each division will get a cash prize. $1000 to the competitor winning team, $800 to the Challenger winning team, and $600 to the rookie winning team.

Teams and Division:

This Competition is a Partner competition with One male and one female making up a team. There is no age group as this is all based on ability standards of the USFA. Both athletes must be of the same ability. See below for more details.

Divisions and Standards:

Strength is of your 1RM, not weights that you will see in Workouts.

Rookie:

Gymnastics: Athletes will be doing banded pull-ups and assisted push-ups. The higher level of Rookie, Rookie +, would be able to do a few pull-ups, but would be doing no more than 3 in a met-con.

Strength: The Deadlift is the test for this category and the weights would be:

                Men 110 lbs. to 210 lbs., Ladies 75lbs to 175lbs

Other: Athletes will be asked to do wallballs to 10’ and 9’ targets, but with lighter balls. There will not be too much advanced barbell work.

Challenger:

Gymnastics: Lower levels of the Challenger Division are able to do pull-up toes to bar. Higher levels, Challenger +, can do pull-ups in good form and capacity, toes to bar, and can do some chest to bar at a limited capacity.  Challenger + will be able to complete handstand pushups. 

Strength: The Clean will be the testing movement and weight would be:

 Men 180 to 230, Ladies 130 to 175

Other: All barbell movements will be required, but weights will be on the lighter side from standards.

Competitor:

Gymnastics:  Athletes can complete chest-to-bar and handstand pushups. The higher side of the division, Competitor +, will be able to complete a decent capacity of bar and ring muscle ups and have the ability to do strict handstand pushups.

Strength: This Clean will be the testing movement and the weights would be:

 Men 235 to 315, Ladies 180 to 225

Other: This would be your RX to RX+ level.  Meeting all standards the weights and movements will be required.

Divisions Placement:

This is going to be the first competition to use the USFA (United States Fitness Association) division standards. The USFA has set out to make functional fitness competitions fair and balanced across the country. The testing system and divisions make competing more enjoyable and rewarding for everyone involved.

AT 3...2...1...GO! Both athletes will start at the same time. Athlete A starts on the barbells, Athlete B starts on the Ergs. One athlete must be on an erg, while the other is on the barbells. Athletes can switch between Barbell and Erg and break up the reps as they see fit. After all the work with barbells and ergs is complete the team will buy out with a 600m Partner banded run.

"High Torque"

100' D-Ball Carry 150/100

10 D-Ball Over the Shoulder 150/100

Reps must be alternated between the two athletes. 100' per athlete for the D-Ball Carrey

Challenger:

100' D-Ball Carry 100/70

10 D-Ball Over the Shoulder 100/70

"Mowgli's Revenge"

Competitor:

8 Rounds for max reps 2 min each round.

"The Lift"

Competitor:

Max Weight Snatch.

The team score will be the combined total of both athletes. Tie break Ladies' max lift.

You will have 5 min as a team and 3 attempts for both to establish a 1 rep snatch.

The lift will be based on Olympic lifting standards. It will be in LBS.

Challenger:

Max Weight Snatch.

The team score will be the combined total of both athletes. Tie break Ladies' max lift.

You will have 5 min as a team and 3 attempts for both to establish a 1 rep snatch.

The lift will be based on Olympic lifting standards. It will be in LBS.

Rookie:

Max Weight Clean.

The team score will be the combined total of both athletes. Tie break Ladies' max lift.

You will have 5 min as a team and 3 attempts for both to establish a 1 rep clean.

It will be in LBS.
