About This Competition

You have nothing to lose, and everything to gain. Put your fitness to the test.

THE QUALIFIER
October 20th - November 2nd

Over the course of two weeks you will take on six workouts. The workouts will be published on Wednesday evening and you will have until Tuesday evening to complete the workouts and submit your scores. There are divisions for all levels of fitness.

The top athletes will advance to the TFX competition in Austin, Texas in January 2022.

  • Over $10,000 will be awarded to winners and thousands more in prizes. Winners from all divisions will receive a fresh pair of Reebok Nanos. The Community Division Winners will be awarded a $250 FringeSport gift card. Scroll down to check out the details!

  • All registration fees from the Kids Division will go to Mayhem Mission. This is a great way to get the entire family invovled in the online qualifier.

TFX is a place to claim and celebrate your wins. Regardless of age, fitness level or season of life the qualifier this is a unique opportunity to challenge yourself with thousands of athletes from across the country!

If you are someone that wants to join in the fun, but doesn't have the desire to compete at TFX in January, register for the Community Division! This division takes on scaled workouts during the qualifier and the top male and female win an awesome prize pack.

The kids can also take on our qualifier for fun and will not move on to the competition in January. 100% of these proceeds from this division's registration will go to Mayhem Missions.

Submission Rules

Competitors are allowed to complete the workouts as many times as desired, but only one submission is allowed. All submissions must be received by 8:00PM CT on the designated day. No late entries will be accepted.

For an entry to be valid, all workouts must be recorded. If you qualify we will request one of your videos to be submitted. We suggest using the WeTime or WodProof App to record your workout.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Integrity: the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. "he/she is known to be a man/woman of integrity"

All participants will be required to sign a code of conduct in order to compete in the Online Qualifier. Integrity is expected.

Workouts

For Max Load:

3 Rep Max Front Squat

Time Cap: 10 Minutes

Your score will be the load in pounds of their heaviest successful set. There is no tiebreak for this event.

Workout Flow

This event begins with the barbell in the rack. You can start with a pre-loaded barbell. Athletes will have 10 minutes from their declared start time to find a 3 rep max front squat. Within the 10 minute window, athletes may make as many or as few attempts as they’d like. 

Athletes must declare the load they are attempting before starting to lift.

All 3 reps must be successfully completed before the athlete re-racks or drops the bar. After finishing the final lift, remove and film all plates used on the bar to verify loading. Athletes may use knee sleeves but knee wraps are NOT permitted.

Athletes MAY have assistance returning the bar to the rack in the event of a failed lift.

Scoring

Your score will be the load in pounds of their heaviest successful set. There is no tiebreak for this event.

Workout Flow

At the Call of 3-2-1, Go, the athlete will start with 21 Dual DB Power Cleans and then move to 21 Chin Over Bar Pull Ups. They will then move to 15 reps of each movement and then finally 9 reps of each movement.

Time stops when the final pull up is completed.

Scoring

Your score will be the time taken to complete this workout. If you do not complete this workout, then your score will be the total number of repetitions before the 8 minute time cap.

There is no tiebreak for this workout.

Workout Flow

The workout begins with the athlete sitting on the rower with the handle in its slot. At the call of 3-2-1 Go, the athlete will grab the handle and complete 34 calories on the rower. The monitor must read 34 calories before the athlete can unstrap and move to their box.

The athlete will alternate between the movements with 30, 26, 22, 18, 14, 10, and 6 repetitions of each movement.  This workout ends when the feet land on the ground on the other side of the box on the final rep. There is no cap on this workout.

Scoring

Score is the total time it takes to complete the entire workout. There is no time cap on this workout. There is no tiebreaker on this workout.

 

For Max Load:

In 10 Minutes complete:

300 Double Unders

In Remaining Time: Find 3RM Shoulder to Overhead


Your score will be the load in pounds of your heaviest successful set.


Your tie-break time will be the time you complete the 300 Double Unders.

Workout Flow


The workout begins with the barbell in the rack. You can start with a pre-loaded barbell.


You will set the clock to 10 minutes.


At the call of 3-2-1 Go, Athletes will first complete 300 Double Unders. Make sure to note the time when you finish your last DU as that will be your tie-break time. With whatever time is left of 10 minutes, you will find a 3 rep max Shoulder to Overhead. 


Within the time window, athletes may make as many or as few attempts as they would like.

Athletes must declare the load they are attempting before starting to lift.


All 3 reps must be successfully completed before the athlete re-racks or drops the bar. After finishing the final lift, remove and film all plates used on the bar to verify loading. 


Athletes MAY have assistance returning the bar to the rack in the event of a failed lift.


Scoring

Your score will be the load (in lb.) of your heaviest successful set.

The tie-breaker for this workout is the total time it takes to complete 300 Double Unders.

 

 

10 Min AMRAP:

Workout Flow


This workout starts with the athlete standing underneath their pull up bar. At the call of 3-2-1 Go, the athlete will jump up and complete 4 Bar Muscle Ups. They will then move to 8 Alternating Pistols and then move to their Kettlebell to complete 12 American Swings. The athlete will then move back to the pull up bar to start another round.


You will keep rotating in that fashion for 10 minutes.


Scoring


Your score is the total number of repetitions completed in the 10 minutes. 


There is no tiebreak for this workout.

Time Cap: 10 Minutes


Score is the total time it takes to complete the entire workout or the total number. If not able to complete under 10 minutes, add 1 second to the 10 minute time cap for any rep not completed.


Pro/RX Team Division

Men Will Use 135# Barbell

Women Will Use 95# Barbell


Intermediate Team Division

Men Will Use 115# Barbell

Women Will Use 80# Barbell

Workout Flow


Prior to the start of the clock, the athlete will load their barbell to the prescribed weight. At the Call of 3-2-1, Go, the athlete will start with 12 Bar Facing Burpees and then move to 12 Squat Snatches. They will then move to 9 reps of each movement and then finally 6 reps of each movement.


Time stops when the final squat snatch is completed.
