About This Competition

This event is the second part of a 2-part competition.  The top 10 teams from each RX division of our online qualifiers will receive invitations to attend this event.  Registration IS NOT open to the public

Details:

  • The finals will take place at RXFit in Rocky Point, NY on January 29, 2022 and will be an all day event.
  • The finals are only open to RX teams who competed in the OQ.
  • The cost of the event is $150+taxes/fees per team.
  • This event will include 3 workouts to be completed at RXFit throughout the course of the day.
  • Workouts will be release before the event, but after registration.
  • The top 3 teams in each division will receive podium prizes.  (prizes to be announced)
  • Invitations:

If you placed in the top 10 in your division during the online qualifier, you will receive an email with your invitation to attend this event shortly after the OQ ends.  This invitation is only valid for the two teammates who competed in the OQ and may not be used by other parties.  The invitation will have detailed instructions on how to claim your spot in the finals as well as a VERY SHORT deadline to register.
Any declined invitations, or unclaimed spots after the initial deadline, will be opened up to teams further down the leaderboard. Spots are not held for the top 10 teams after the initial deadline.  Once teams outside of the top 10 receive an invitation, these spots will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.  We recommend planning ahead on whether or not your team would like to attend the finals and registering as soon as you get the invitation if you would like to participate.  We will be capping the event at 10 teams per division.   If you did not place in the top 10 during the OQ, we recommend you still keep an eye out for an invitation for the finals.
    Spectators:
Due to limited space, we will be allowing a VERY limited number of spectators at the event.  Spectators will need to purchase tickets in advance and check in at the front door before entering the facility.  This will be closely monitored!  If space is available, leftover spectator tickets will be sold at the door, however we recommend planning in advance.  We don't want to have to turn people away.  Out of respect of your fellow athletes we ask that you limit the number of spectators you bring so that all of our athletes have an opportunity to bring someone.

    **PLEASE BE ADVISED**

We reserve the right to respectfully refuse registration from top level elite athletes.  Athletes who compete at the “Elite Individual Level” will be asked to not participate in our event at this time. Elite level is defined by us as having competed in a regional, sanctional or semifinal  event in the past as an individual athlete.
Elite athletes who have participated in a regional, sanctional or semifinal event as a team member will be allowed to participate in our event, however there may only be one elite team athlete on any given team.
We reserve the right to use our discretion and other factors when making these determinations.
We ask this so that our event can be a fun and competitive venue for the remainder of our RX athletes with a more level playing field.  Thank you for your cooperation.

    FAQ's

WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER/BAD ROAD CONDITIONS?

MY TEAM PLACED IN THE TOP 10 BUT WE MISSED THE DEADLINE FOR OUR PERSONAL INVITATION TO THE IN PERSON EVENT.  OUR TEAM WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND.  CAN WE STILL REGISTER?
Once you miss your deadline, your spot will be available to other teams further down the leaderboard.  The spot will be given on a first come first serve basis which does not guarantee your team a spot in the finals.
    ARE TICKETS TRANSFERABLE?
Tickets are only valid for the athletes who competed in the OQ and may not be used by other athletes.  If there is an extenuating circumstance in which ONE teammate can not move on to the in-person finals, email us at fightforthefittest@gmail.com and we will review the request and make decisions on a case by case basis.

1 minute max cal assault bike tie breaker

Athletes will be assigned a lifting order based upon their ranking after workout 1. There will be a running clock set for 1 minute of lifting and 1 minute of transition.

Each team will be assigned a platform. M/F teams will have two Bars on their platform. On the designated Beep the athletes will all start their lifts. Athletes have one attempt to complete an unbroken set of 3 reps. Both team members must successfully complete their 3 rep deadlift to advance to the next round. Male and Female teams can not lift at the same time.
During the 1 minute break, teams will depart the platform and the next teams will approach their assigned platform and bars. Teams advancing to the next round will return to the loading area to wait for the next round while eliminated teams will report to the tiebreaker circle to wait for the tiebreaker round.

There will be approximately 1 minute break between rounds while the bars are loaded with the next weights. If a tiebreaker round is necessary, there will be approximately a 2 minute break while athletes complete the 1 minute max calorie assault bike.

In the case that more than one team successfully lifts the final weights, the remaining teams will complete the assault bike tie breaker.

    Standards:
-The head judge has discretion to pause/stop/restart the lifting clock if needed.

-At 3, 2, 1, GO, athletes may get on their bikes and begin.
-Athletes can adjust their seat height before beginning.
-Athletes can choose to share the work or have one partner complete the entire minute.
-Score will be calories shown on the monitor at the 1 minute mark. Rollover calories will not be counted.
-When necessary, tiebreaker rounds may be completed in more than one heat.
