About This Competition
As you may know, prior to the pandemic Allen organized a CrossFit fundraiser competition to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy, a cause that means a lot to his family. Last year after his passing, a suggestion was made to resurrect the "Jack Attack" fundraiser competition as a way to help keep his legacy alive. He had expressed interest in supporting both Muscular Dystrophy Canada and Power Hockey Toronto, as his son with MD is an avid power hockey player! And so we bring you The Lemieux Challenge 2022 - Charity CrossFit competition with all proceeds going directly to these two organizations.
This will be a same sex pairs competition with both scaled and Rx divisions. Check in will be late morning and the competition will run until approximately 5:30pm.
Scaled team requirements will be single unders, box step overs, and front squat minimum 95/65, with ideally at least one partner able to do pull ups. Rx team requirements will be double unders, box jump overs, and front squat minimum 135/95, with at least one partner able to do bar muscle ups and/or handstand walks. All teams will compete in a minimum of 3 events...and you may or may not see a revamped version of the infamous "Ladder".
There is a limited number of spots so grab your partner and get signed up ASAP! Registration deadline is Oct 13, 2022.
Sign up is free but we are asking for a $150 donation per team, which will include an event T-shirt for each team member, also being generously donated by Go Unbroken Apparel ( @gounbrokenapparel ). Donations can be sent via EMT to allen.lemieux.crossfit@gmail.com. If you wish to donate more, you may do so via EMT or in cash on event day.

*Reps can be divided up between both partners as desired, except where otherwise indicated (aka synchro reps and one partner holding barbell overhead in order to log reps of muscle ups/pull ups).
Each partner performs one rep at the designated weight within the one minute window. Snatch as long as you can, then switch to a clean and jerk, then switch to just a clean. When you can no longer clean the barbell weight, your workout is over.
Your score is the total amount of weight of each of your 3 lifts between you and your partner.
