Masters Worlds Online Qualifiers
About This Competition
Jersey Functional Fitness would like to invite all masters athletes (30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64 and 65+) to participate in the JFFA online qualifier to earn a spot to represent Jersey at the International Functional Fitness Federation’s Masters World Championships in September 29th - October 1st of 2023 in Vancouver, Canada as part of the Masters World Championships.
The Jersey Functional Fitness Masters Online Qualifier will be open from 5pm on 7th May and will close 5pm on 14th May 2023.
In order to limit the number of qualifiers that athletes need to complete, JFFA will use workouts from the CrossFit (CF) Games Open and/or Age Group Quarterfinals (AGQ) as part of your score.
If you completed the AGQ, you simply need to register for the JFFA Masters Qualifier and input your existing scores. If you did not register for the CF AGQ, you will have 1 week to complete all 3 tests and submit your scores and videos.
Video Sumissions
Video standards listed on the CrossFit (CF) Games Open and/or Age Group Quarterfinals (AGQ) website will follow the same requirements for video submissions.Athletes will complete 3 tests, all of which will be released at the start of the qualifier. All tests must be video recorded and entered electronically. It is the responsibility of each athlete to ensure video standards and movement standards are met, as scores may be adjusted and penalties applied accordingly. Videos will be reviewed and scores will be verified by JFFA after completion of the qualifier. All scores will be reviewed and verified.
Athlete Selection
The top three male and female athletes in each age group will qualify to represent the JFFA at the Masters World Championships in Canada. To be considered a Jersey National, and to register for the Online Qualifiers, you must be a Jersey Passport holder.
Invitations
The first round of invitations will be sent out electronically after the online qualifier scores are validated. Qualifying athletes will have a specific time frame to secure their spot. Any vacancies will be filled with a second round of invitations. Those athletes will have a specific time frame to secure their spot for the Masters World Championships. Unclaimed spots for the Masters World Championships can then be earned through additional invitations based on the online qualifier or by at-large invitation.
*Athletes are permitted to register in both Individual, Masters and Team.
