About This Competition

Bringing you New Zealand's only Master Athlete Specific Individual Online Competition, over 3 weeks.  

Four workouts over 2 weeks, with the top 10 in each age category and division, go forward to battle it out in the third week,  with one final workout.

Competition dates, where two workouts will be released each week, will run from November 14th through to November 27th and the final and fifth workout for top 10 will be released on November 28th through to Dec 4th. Result submission must be in by 11:59pm each Sunday.

Masters New Zealand is catering for athletes aged 35 years and over, in 6 age categories.

Masters can choose from two divisions:

Scaled or Pro 

Age categories 

35-39

40-44

45-49

50-54

55-59

60 plus

 

Workouts can be done at home, gym or your box.  Get your friends together and have some fun before the end of the year.  

Must be 35 years old by 4th Dec 2022.

PRO 35 - 44

Bar MU - alternative movement is Chest to Bar 3 = 1 rep.

PRO 45 - 54

Bar MU - alternative movement is Chest to Bar 3 = 1 rep or Pull-Ups 6 = 1 rep

PRO 55 - 59 and 60+

Bar MU - alternative movement is Chest to Bar 3 = 1 reps or Pull-Ups 6 = 1 reps


All SCALED divisions

Pull ups - Alternative movement is Ring rows 3 = 1 rep.

You are ALLOWED to mix and match between Bar MU and Chest to Bars (CTB). I.E within the same part do 2 bar MU then switch to CTB,but complete 3 CTB to get 1 rep for bar MU total 3 bar MU for that part..

If you do not complete the 3 reps before the time is up in each part i.e. 1 or 2  CTB those reps are not counted and also NOT added together over the three parts at the end of the workout to make up reps.

Flow:

The athlete will start with a timer at 0:00, and commence 21 KB Swings on completion of the 21 rep, the athlete will move onto 21 burpees.  Then continue for 15 KB swings and 15 Burpee, 9 KB swings and 9 Burpees, they will repeat 9 KB swings and 9 burpees before progressing back up to 15 KB swings and 15 Burpees, and finally 21 Kettlebell Swings and 21 Burpees. Score and Time is taken once the 21st burpee is complete.
