We're back! For our third year running, Tasman Twos is a Mixed Sex pairs Competiition brought to you by Tasman Bay CrossFit. Located in the beautiful Nelson region on August 24th & 25th 2024.

Flow

At 3, 2, 1 go the Male athlete will begin by completing as many clean & jerks as possible in a 1 minute window at weight 1. At the beep a hand tag MUST be made before the female athlete begins her clean & jerks in the next window at weight 1. 

This will continue until both athletes have completed 5 rounds each at the increasing weights. If an athlete cannot continue at a certain weight their partner may continue.

 

Notes

- Athletes will be required to load their own bars from round 2 onwards. They are allowed to assist each other.

- The score is total weight not total reps.

- Tie break will be combined total reps at the final bar.

- Hand Tags must be made before an athlete can begin working in their window.

Barbell Weights

RX = 65/45

Int = 45/30

Flow

At 3, 2, 1 Go One Athlete can begin the deadlifts, athletes can split these reps between them however they like. Once the deadlifts are complete the team can move to the burpee over bar, burpees must be completed over the same barbell. The workout will continue like this until all the reps are completed or the timecap is reached. There is a tie break time after the last set of burpee over bar.

 

Notes

- The reps for each movement can be broken any way between the athletes.

- Each movement must be completed before moving on.

- The burpees must be completed over the same bar.

- RX & Intermediate must jump over the bar. Scaled can step over.

- Athletes must hand tag to change the working athlete.

- If any barbell or athlete leaves the working area it will be a no rep.

- There is a tie break time after the 25 lateral burpee over bar.

Flow

Athletes will start with one hand on the seat standing beside the bike. At "go" one athletes can start accumulating calories, these can be broken up however. Once all the calories are complete athletes can begin the swim portion where they will "alternate" 50m swims until they have completed there required work.

Scaled teams can break these 50m swims however they choose, there is no requirement for both athletes to swim in this division.

Notes

- There is a tie break time after the calories are completed.

- Athletes must wear footwear on the bike. This can be jandels or crocs etc.

- Each 25m length will be scored as 1 rep.

Flow

Athletes will start behind the line. At Go, the female athlete will run down and conmence rowing. Once the allocated calories are complete they will move to the box to complete their burpee box jump overs. Once they have completed 2 rounds of this they will run across the line tagging the male partner who will complete their work in the same manner.

 

Notes

- Both athletes start behind the line.

- The male athlete must wait for the female to finish and tag them before crossing the line to start their workout

- The burpee for the burpee box jump overs must be facing the box.

- Scaled athletes can step over the box. Both feet must touch the top of the box

- Rowers and boxes will be reset and changed by the judges.

- Workout finishes when the male athlete crosses the finishline.

At go one athlete from each team will run the track of approximately 1000m to a point where they will pass their batton to their teammate who will run back to the start finish line.

Notes

- Athletes can run in either order.

- Teams must have their batton with them at the finish line.

- Each division will be a mass start

Flow

At 3, 2, 1 Go, athletes will move to the dumbbells where they will complete the synchro Devils Press, the dumbbells must be within the taped area when on the ground. Once complete athletes will move the dumbbells forward to the next taped area and complete the synchro step back lunges. Athletes front foot must remain in the taped area. Athletes will then move to the wall balls where they will complete the reps broken any way. From the wallballs athletes will move back to the dumbbells and complete the lunges then the devils press before crossing the finish line.

 

Notes

- Both Athletes must start behind the line.

- During the devils press both a snatch or a clean and jerk are permitted.

- The RX lunges will be one DB overhead and one in the front rack.

- The Scaled lunges will be single DB but must be held in the front rack as per video.

- Lunges must be step back.

- Hand tag must be completed when changing the working athlete for the wall balls.

- Workout finishes when both athletes cross the line.

Flow

At 3, 2, 1 go Athletes will begin with their synchro thursters. These must be synchro below parallel and at lockout. Once complete athletes can move to the rope climbs which can be split as you like. This will continue until athletes have either completed the required work or are time capped. There will be a tie break time after the set of 9 thrusters. Please watch the movement standand video for more details.

Notes

Scaled will complete 6 rope climbs to finish after the tie break. This will be to the same standard as intermediate.

For rope climbs athletes CAN NOT jump into the rep.
