About This Competition

Event Overview 
The Ore Mixed Pairs Throwdown is a one-day CrossFit competition designed to challenge teams across multiple divisions. Athletes will compete in male/female pairs across four workouts programmed to test strength, engine, skill, and teamwork. 
 
Divisions 
RX (Advanced) (X8pairs) 
Scaled (Intermediate)(X8pairs) 
Masters 40+ (Both athletes must be aged 40 or above on competition day) (X8pairs) 
 
Competition Format 
Teams: 1 Male + 1 Female 
Total Workouts: 4 (spread across the day) 
Scoring: Standard CrossFit scoring system (1 point for 1st place, 2 for 2nd, etc.) 
Final standings determined by cumulative score across all workouts 
 
Movement Standards by Division 
RX Division 
Designed for advanced athletes with a high level of strength, skill, and conditioning. 
Typical standards include: 
Weights 
Snatch:  Male: 60kg , Female: 40kg  
Clean & Jerk:  Male: 80kg, Female: 55kg  
Thrusters:  Male: 42.5kg, Female: 30kg  
Wall Balls: 9 kg (M) / 6 kg (F)  
Dumbbells: 22.5 kg (M) / 15 kg (F)  
Kettlebells: 24 kg (M) / 16 kg (F)  
Gymnastics 
Chest-to-Bar Pull-Ups 
Toes-to-Bar 
Bar Muscle-Ups / Ring Muscle-Ups 
Handstand Walks / Handstand Push-Ups (strict or kipping) 
Conditioning 
High-intensity workouts with minimal scaling options 
Advanced coordination movements (e.g. Double Unders) 
 
Scaled Division 
Designed for intermediate athletes who are building toward RX level. 
Typical standards include: 
Weights 
Snatch:  Male: 40 kg, Female: 25kg  
Clean & Jerk:  Male: 60kg, Female: 40kg  
Thrusters:  Male: 30kg, Female: 20kg  
Wall Balls: 6 kg (M) / 4 kg (F)  
Dumbbells: 15 kg (M) / 10 kg (F)  
Kettlebells: 20 kg (M) / 12–16 kg (F) 
Gymnastics 
Pull-Ups (banded, assisted or jumping permitted depending on workout) 
Hanging Knee Raises  
Box-supported or reduced range Handstand Push-Ups and wall walks 
Conditioning 
Single Unders instead of Double Unders 
Lower technical complexity 
 
Masters 40+ Division 
Designed for experienced athletes aged 40+, combining fitness with smart scaling where appropriate. 
Typical standards include: 
Weights 
Snatch:  Male: 50kg, Female: 35kg  
Clean & Jerk:  Male: 70kg , Female: 50kg  
Thrusters:  Male: 35kg, Female: 25kg  
Wall Balls: usually same as RX OR slightly lighter  
Dumbbells: 17.5-22.5 kg (M) / 12.5–15 kg (F) 
Gymnastics 
Pull-Ups / Chest-to-Bar (scaled per workout) 
Hanging Knee Raises or Toes-to-Bar 
Handstand Push-Ups (scaled options likely available) 
Conditioning 
Balanced intensity with age-appropriate scaling options 
Double Unders or Single Unders depending on programming

(All workouts will incorporate mixed-pair elements such as synchro movements, split work, and shared workloads.)
