About This Competition

Memorial Day workouts have always been a tradition at RAW Training.  Every year, we honor the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. Military the best way we know how -- through physical challenges!  This year will be no different.  Although we cannot physically come together, we are holding an online partner competition!  We are excited to host our first ever ONLINE partner challenge.  This is a PARTNER EVENT yet due to social distancing rules you don't have to be in the same place, or even same state to do the workouts with your partner!  The competition will run for 10 days consisting of 3 different workouts with 3 separate videos (see submission deadlines below).  Teams will be male/male or female/female!  Substituting athletes will NOT be permitted. 

 

Note: Minimum Attendance Required. We are requiring a minimum of 12 male teams and 12 female teams in order to hold our online challenge.  Should we need to cancel due to lack of participants a full refund will be given. 

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO COMPETE:

1 Jump Rope 

1 Barbell

Males must be able to load a barbell to 115 & 75 lbs

Females must be able to load a barbell to 75 & 55 lbs

 

Date and Times

Registration opens May 18th and closes May 23 at 8 PM.  The RAW REMEMBERS ONLINE CHALLENGE will take place from Wednesday May 20th (wods videos released) - Saturday May 30th at 8 PM and the winning team will be announced on Thursday June 4th.

WOD 1 must be submitted by May 23rd at 8:00 PM

WOD 2 must be submitted by May 27th at 8:00 PM

WOD 3 must be submitted by May 30th at 8:00 PM  

Scoring

We will have a panel of judges/staff watch all video submissions carefully. We will be strictly adhering to movement standards and video requirements based off the 2020 CrossFit Games Open Rules/Standards. All competitors will be held to the exact same rules and movement standards in order to keep this a fair and credible event. The Male and Female teams that finish on top after all 3 events will receive a check for $150. Movement standards and scoring will be described in detail when the events are announced along with full videos of each event. 

Cost

The entrance fee is $50 per team + fees. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS.

Prizes

We are offering $150 as the payout for the top Male Team and top Female Team.

Thursday June 4th - OFFICIAL WINNERS ANNOUNCED

50 Sumo Deadlift High Pulls (75/55 lbs)

100 Air Squats

TEAM SCORE: The combined total times of both workouts added together.

Burpees (lateral) over the Bar

*continue rounds increasing by 2 reps until 8 minutes expires

Complex=(power clean, lunge right, lunge left, push press)

 

Athlete 2: 8 minutes with MAX burpees

10-8-6-4-2+ MAX burpees in remaining time in 8 minutes*

*Curtis P is a multi-part movement designed by SEALFit, a physical and mental training program founded by, and developed for, Navy Seals.

75 Power Snatches 75#/55#
**5 Front Squats at the start of this workout and will continue..Every Minute, on the Minute until all 75 power snatch reps are completed**

TIME CAP: 10 minutes

TEAM SCORE: Combined times of both athletes to complete this wod individually

Randy Simmons, 51, a 27 year LAPD veteran and SWAT team member was killed February 7, 2008 in the line of duty. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Officer Simmons' wife and two children.
