METCON FORTFIGHT 2024

When?

The QUALIFIERS for the FINALS will be held from 5th May 2024 until 15th July 2024 at 21:00 CEST.

The FINALS will be held live in Belgrade on the 31st August and 1st September 2024.

 

Who?

Participation in Metcon FortFight 2024 is allowed for any ATHLETE prepared to test their fitness abilities.

ATHLETES under 18 must have explicit permission from their parents or guardians.

All ATHLETES must compete in the QUALIFIERS to advance to the FINALS.

 

How?

ATHLETES can participate in the following categories:

  • Elite (men and women)
  • Advanced (men and women)
  • Scaled (men and women)
  • Master 35+ (men and women) – turning 35 in 2024 and older
  • Team (1 woman + 2 men)

The total number of ATHLETES advancing to the FINALS is 200!!!

The number of ATHLETES in a certain category is susceptible to change depending on the number of ATHLETES registered for other categories.

 

How much?

Participation in THE EVENT is subject to payment of the registration fee. All payments are final. No refunds or transfers will be permitted, regardless of the reason.

Registration prices do not include costs from COMPETITION CORNER or currency conversion fees.

The ticket price per ATHLETE for the QUALIFIERS is:

  • 30 USD for Individuals or 90 USD for Teams if paid from registration opening till 19th April (Early Bird Price)
  • 40 USD for Individuals or 120 USD for Teams if paid from 20th April till 15th July (Regular price)

Individual ATHLETES advancing will have to pay 70 USD and TEAMS 210 USD in order to register for the FINALS.

 

Dates?

Workouts will be released Sunday 5th May 2024 at 21:00 CEST.

Registration for the QUALIFIERS closes and the scores must be submitted before Monday 15th July 2024 at 21:00 CEST.

Repeating the workouts is permitted. All workouts can be done on different days.

ATHLETES are advised to perform all workouts with a judge.

ATHLETES aiming to qualify for the FINALS have to submit a video of their workouts by entering their scores in COMPETITION CORNER. Team workouts for the QUALIFIERS will be made as such so that each team member can perform his part independently of the other two team members. However, the team captain will have to register all three results and videos of his team members.

Workouts

In 5 minutes find your heaviest load for the following unbroken complex:


1 Clean
1 Shoulder to Overhead
1 Front Squat
1 Shoulder to Overhead


The Clean and first Shoulder to Overhead can be performed as Squat Clean Thruster (Cluster).
The Front Squat and second Shoulder to Overhead can be performed as Thruster.
The score for this workout will be the heaviest successful lift (in kilograms).

Four sets of:
3 minutes Row for Max Calories
Immediately followed by...
2 minutes to complete as many reps as possible (AMRAP)
8 Overhead Squats 45/30 kg
8 Chest-to-Bar Pull-Ups


*There is no rest between time intervals. This workout takes 20 minutes total (4 sets of 3- and 2-minute intervals).
**Pick up where you left off on the 2-minute AMRAP each time.
***This event has two separate scores. One score for the total calories (A) and the other score for total reps of the AMRAP (B).
