About This Competition

Cupid's Revenge is a fun, yet competitive, couples competition. It will consist of five workouts that will be released after registration opens on December 15th, at 8:00pm. Each workout will include both members of the couple and will challenge everyone no matter their division. Couples do not have to be romantically involved, just a female and a male.

Cupid’s 2022 will be held in Norman, OK across multiple venues with Koda CrossFit Norman being the primary location. The access to these venues will undoubtedly make this our best Cupid’s Revenge to date!

DIVISIONS
RX: Does their gym workouts “RX” and consistently finishes in the top. Quarterfinals and above level athlete. Regularly finishes on the podium or are in the final heat of local competitions. 

Intermediate: Is able to complete all “CrossFit movements” but is not necessarily a “Master” at them. Consistently does gym workouts “RX” but does not consistently win.

Scaled: Regularly scales class workouts at their gym. Is not able to complete all “CrossFit movements.”

Masters: Ages have to add up to 80 years old with the youngest person on the team to be 35 years or older- Masters is NOT scaled.

Workouts

a partner workout that includes splitting and synchro-ing reps with your teammate. This workout will be completed at Koda Norman.
At the sound of “3-2-1 GO” teams will begin a 3 round “Fran-style” workout with SYNCHRONIZED Thrusters and SPLITTING the gymnastics movements between the pair.
This workout will have a 10min CAP and your score will be the total time it takes to complete the work or the amount of work completed in the time cap.

Athletes will have 60s to complete a successful bench press and a successful clean before moving to the next station. If an athlete fails one lift but is successful in the other they are able to continue the ladder doing that lift only. The score for this event will be the sum of the highest successful bench press and clean from each athlete.

“you go, I go” WBS and swimming workout. This workout will be done at the OU pool (Murray Case Sells Swim Complex) on campus, 1.9 miles from Koda Norman.
At the sound of “3-2-1 GO” partner 1 will begin the 3 round workout by completing 25 WBS followed by Partner 2 completing 25 WBS. After all WBS have been completed, partner 1 will swim 50m (25m down and back), then partner 2 will swim 50m. On round 2, both partners will still complete 25 WBS each but will swim 100m (each). On round 3, they will again do 25 WBS each but finish with 150m swim (each).
The workout is set up to allow athletes to take their time moving into and out of the water-there will be no need to rush transitions into the pool. Diving into the pool will not be allowed (pool is only 5’ deep).
Athletes are allowed to wear swimsuits and goggles but NO FLIPPERS, FINS, SNORKELS, OR ASSISTIVE DEVICES WILL BE ALLOWED.
This workout will have a 17min CAP. Your score will be the total time it takes to complete the work or the amount of work completed in the

This workout will be completed at the Annex and calls for one partner to complete all the prescribed work, followed by the other partner completing all of their prescribed work.
At the sound of “3-2-1 GO” one partner (can be either M or F) will begin 3 rounds of Assault Bike Calories and Sandbag Cleans. Once all of the reps are complete they will HS walk (or FR Carry) the prescribed distance and then tag partner the other partner in to complete the exact same workout.
This workout will have a 15min CAP and your score will be the total time it takes to complete the work or the amount of work completed in the time cap.
