Grand Slam 2019
About This Competition
Compete online in August with thousands of everyday athletes from around the world for your chance to be crowned the victor and flown to Sydney, Australia to represent your country in The Bay Games later this year.
This is an online functional fitness comp for everyday athletes around the world aged 18 years and over. There are two divisions; these are called Rx for Advanced athletes and Scaled for Intermediate athletes. The idea is to make the Grand Slam as accessible to as many everyday athletes as possible!
The event goes live on Friday 9th August at 1900 hours AEST (Sydney timezone) and will feature a live announcement that will be live streamed. There will be two live announcements on the following two Fridays; the 16th and 23rd August 2019 respectively.
The Grand Slam is conducted over 3 weeks and includes 5 workouts which means that Week 1 and Week 3 will feature double workouts. Athletes will have until the following Thursday evening at 23:59 AEST to complete their workout(s) and submit their video results via the WeTime App for the international Judging panel to assess.
IMPORTANT: Athletes can switch between Rx and Scaled for up to 2 days prior to the event starting.
We understand that athletes get injured in training - therefore, whilst we do not offer refunds, we do permit transfers/substitutes for up to two days before the event kicks off. Just email support@thebaygames.com in the event you have any questions about this.
