Rules / Specifics
Synchro Movements Standards
Synchro Dumbbell Box Step-Over:
A repetition is considered synchronized when all four feet (both athletes’ feet) are on the same side of the box. If athletes are out of sync or do not have all feet on the same side before starting the next rep, the repetition will result in a no-rep.
Synchro Burpee Pull-Up:
The synchronization point occurs at the bottom of the burpee. Both athletes’ chests and hips must touch the ground at the same time.
• Each athlete must individually meet the pull-up standard (chin clearly over the bar), but that portion of the movement does not need to be synchronized.
• If a partner fails to get their chin above the bar, they may re-attempt the pull-up until the standard is met, without repeating the burpee.
Synchro Burpee Bar Muscle-Up:
The synchronization point is at the top of the bar muscle-up, where both athletes must reach a fully locked-out position at the same time for the rep to count.
• Each athlete must complete the burpee with chest and hips touching the ground, but this part does not need to be synchronized.
• If one athlete fails to achieve full lockout on top of the bar, they may re-attempt the muscle-up until successful—provided their partner remains locked out on top of the bar.
• If the partner drops down before both athletes are locked out, both athletes must start the rep over, beginning with the burpee
Workout Notes
• The highest number of athletes or teams will be 8 per heat
• There will be 8 Lane markers
• The Start line will be red cones
• The Start and finish line of the farmer carry will be blue cones
• The Lanes markers will be orange cones, and the segments will be five 10ft sections
• For teams farmer carries will be perform one at a time. Once one person completes a carry the next athlete must wait for the judge's cue before starting his or her famers walk
• Risers or Boxes will be available for the rig
• Athletes will face into the rig to perform their pull ups or Bar Muscle Ups
• Athletes Must step behind there riser or boxes to perform the burpees
• Time stops when the athletes cross the finish line after their last farmers carry athletes must return the dumbbell to the mat or Box before crossing the finish line
