About This Competition

Oman's biggest fitness competition to date. An exciting two day competiton that will attract athletes from all over the world.

Thursday 2nd June

  • Athlete Registration - 6pm

Friday 3rd June

  • Workout 1 - 9am - 12pm
  • Workout 2 - 12:30pm - 3:30pm
  • Workout 3 - 4pm - 7pm

Saturday 4th June

  • Workout 4 - 9am - 12pm
  • Semi Finals - 12:30 - 4pm
  • Finals 4:30pm - 6pm
  • Awards Ceremony - 6:30pm

Please note that all times are approximate times and are subject to change. Complete heat lists and schedules will only be released in the days prior to the competition.

ELITE

This category is for athletes who can perform full RX movements. So, if you CAN’T perform ALL of the below movement guidelines yet, then we recommend competing in our ‘Intermediate’ category, however if you CAN perform all of these guideline below, then you should select the ‘Elite’ category:

  • Perform 5+ unbroken muscle ups (any variation)
  • Perform 10+ unbroken HSPU (any variation)
  • Perform 10+ unbroken thrusters at 50/30kg
  • Perform 10m unbroken handstand walk
  • Perform 40+ unbroken double unders
  • Perform a 1RM snatch at 75/50kg.

INTERMEDIATE:

This category will feature RX movements, such as snatches, cleans and thrusters, but with reduced volume and load to suit the needs of the intermediate category.

The intermediate workouts will not include the following gymnastic movements:

  • Muscle ups (any variation)
  • Rope Climbs
  • Handstand walks.

However, athletes must be able to perform:

  • Toes to bar
  • Double unders
  • HSPU (any variation)
  • Pull ups (any variation). 

All athletes will compete in four events over the two day event, before the top athletes advance to the semi-finals and finals.

ATHLETE REGISTRATION:

All athletes will be required to attend the Athlete Registration on Thursday 2nd June at 6pm. All workouts and movement standard will be explain and any questions will be answered during this time. All athletes will be provided with a personalised Muscat Throwdown T-shirt and athlete portraits will be taken at this time.

SPECTATOR TICKETS:

Alongside cheering your friends or relatives along competition there will also be fun for the whole family. Food and Drink booths, local Omani handicrafts, fun competitions and much more. Spectator tickets will be availble to purchase in due course.
