About This Competition

SOCF Throwdown is a local one-day competition.  It's team of 2 same gender.  This local competition will offer divisions in scaled, intermediate, RX both male and female teams.  Grab a teammate and let's have some fun.

No Refunds.

You can substitute a teammate before the competiton but not during.

Workouts will be released starting two 6-8 weeks out from competition day.

Workouts

6 minute cap…

30 Snatches (Power or Squat)
20 Clean & Jerks
10 Squat Cleans

First bar will be pre-loaded.
At 3,2,1 go both athletes can split lift however the desire. Once you complete the 30 snatches, add weight and move on to the clean & jerks.
After finishing the 20 clean & jerks, add weight again and finish strong with 10 squat cleans.

Workout 1: Sprint Relay
This is a two-part, two-score event.

Workout 1A (0-5min )
1 minute rest
Workout 1B (6-11min )



Workout 1A

Each athlete will complete 1 round the following for time.
(5-minute cap total time).
• 27 Wall Balls
• 21 Calorie Row
• 15 Handstand Push-ups

Refer to movement standards for details.
After completing Workout 1A, you will have 1 minute of rest before starting Workout 1B. If you finish before the time cap in workout 1A that will be extra rest time.



Workout 1B

Begins at the 6-minute mark.
Working as a team, athletes will complete the following, splitting the reps however they choose (5-minute cap):
• 50 Wall Balls
• 40 Calorie Row
• 30 Handstand Push-ups



Standards

RX:
• Wall Ball: 20 lb (men) / 14 lb (women)
• Strict HSPU (men) / Handstand Push-ups (women)

Intermediate:
• Wall Ball: 20 lb (men) / 14 lb (women)
• Handstand Push-ups:
• Men – on a 1” mat
• Women – on a 1.5” mat

Scaled:
• Wall Ball: 14 lb (men) / 10 lb (women)
• Push-ups: Hand Release Push-ups
• Chest and thighs must touch the ground at the bottom.
• Full body lockout at the top (hips and chest rise together)
