About This Competition
Battle Valhalla is back for 2023
We are kicking things off Saturday March 25th @ CrossFit Jorvik
There will be 3 categories:
- Scaled
- Intermediate
- RX
There will be 3 seeding workouts released on 1st February for you and your partner to complete and submit by 28th February. Once we have everyones score you will then be seeded into the appropriate category.
- Percy No Mercy will be spinning the decks
- Photographer and videographer to catch you in action
- Prizes for biggest lift
- Prizes for Winning events
- Defiant Co will be vendors
The aim is and has alway been to provide a well run competition where you leave feeling accomplished competing with others of a similar ability to yourself.
We aim to test all areas of fitness not just smashing it for 8-12 minutes. We want to find the most well rounded on the day.
General format:
Heavy lift / complex
Mixed modal - Your typical WOD
Mono structural - longer endurance based workout
Mixed Modal - Your typical WOD

Workouts
Over 6 rounds (3 rounds each), accumulate max reps in 2 minutes for each of the following movements:
Minute 1- 45 seconds max effort Echo Bike Cals (15 seconds rest/transition)
Minute 2 - 45 seconds max effort Gymnastic Movements (Jumping Pull-ups/Pull-ups/BMU)
Jumping pull ups - score 1 per rep,
Pull ups - scores 3 per rep,
Muscle ups - score 8 per rep
Score = Total Cals + Total score from gymnastic movements Combined
In a 10 minute window, accumulate Max Distance Row
Every 2 mins on the minute, perform 6 Sandbag-to-shoulder
Sandbag: 40kg
Total Score = Distance
In a 6 min Window, find a 3RM STOH.
then...
In a 6 min Window find a 1RM Hang Clean (any variation).
Total score = 3RM STOH + 1 Hang Clean (Combined)
