Log is approx 28lbs
Burpees - two foot take off and lading required, torso must be facing log at the bottom of burpee.
Overhead Lunges - log may be overhead in any position, knee must contact ground w/ hips/knees/shoulders vertical between reps.
Log Press - log must pass below chin and arms must extend fully in a vertical position overhead. Bending of the knees or closing/opening hips is not

TUG OF WAR | 1 on 1

 

Athletes will be placed into an elimination style bracket.


To advance, pull your opponent across the designated ground marker.


Gloves are allowed however you may not wrap the rope around hands or body.

40 Dball ground to overhead

(Dball Slam or Dball clean and press is allowed) 

Each rep must end in full overhead lockout with ankles,hips, arms and ball in a vertical line.  You must demonstrate control in the overhead position for rep to count.

*this is part 1 of workout #1 and will be scored seperately.

Competive division : M - 70# | F -50#

Fitness and all Age groups: M - 50# | F - 30#

40 Dball ground to overhead + 1 Mile Run

(Dball Slam or Dball clean and press is allowed)

Upon completing the DBall overhead repetitions, athletes proceed immediately into a 1 mile run.

*this is part 2 of workout #1 and will be scored in total time.

Competive division : M - 70# | F -50#

Fitness and all Age groups: M - 50# | F - 30#

 

All Divisions run 1 mile.

1 rep max deadlift - lift off

• Competitive individuals (starting weight • M - 315 | F - 215)

• Fitness individuals (starting weight • M - 275 | F - 185)

• Age group individuals (starting weight • M40+ - 275 | F35+ - 185 | M50+ 255)


*Conventional deadlift - NO SUMO
*Straps/grips not allowed
*Belt is allowed
*May not use thighs to rest bar or as counterbalance
*Lifters must lower bar to ground without dropping it

25 Synchro burpees over log

150 (M/M & M/F) - 120 (F/F) Overhead lunges

20 Synchro burpees over log

150 (M/M & M/F) - 120 (F/F) Strict press

15 Synchro Burpees over log

• Burpees - both athletes must be in contact with the ground (thighs and chest) at the same time. two foot take off and landing required, torso must be facing log at the bottom of burpee.
• Overhead Lunges - athletes may share reps as needed. log may be overhead in any position, knee must contact ground and hips/knees/shoulders must be locked out vertically between reps.
• Log Press - athletes may share reps as needed. log must pass below chin and arms must extend fully in a vertical position overhead. Bending of the knees or closing/opening the hips is not permitted

150 calorie row + 150 dumbbell thrusters (25#s)

 

M/F

120 calorie row + 150 dumbbell thrusters (25#/20#s)

 

F/F

100 calorie row + 150 dumbbell thrusters (20#s)

 

  • both athletes may work at each movement simultaneously 
  • athletes may switch as desired
  • once a movement is completed, both athletes share remaining work
  • rower screen must stay on duration of event
  • thruster begins with a full squat with dumbbells on shoulders in front rack position. Thruster ends with full extensiion of the knees, hips, shoulders/elbows (all stacked in vertical position)
