About This Competition

Nevada's premier fitness competition for individuals and teams.

Who: Individual Male RX, Individual Female RX, Individual Male Intermediate, Individual Female Intermediate, Teams of 4 (MMFF)

What: The Mojave Desert Games (MDG) is a premier functional fitness competition held in Pahrump, Nevada. This competition highlights RX and Intermediate Individuals and Teams of 4 (MMFF)

When: The 2021 Mojave Desert Games is set to for Friday October 1st - Saturday October 2nd

Where: Land Mine Fitness - 1375 E. State St. Pahrump, NV 89048

Why: We hold the mission of bringing individuals and teams together to showcase their fitness in the best ways possible. To truly give each everyday individual the experience of being on stage as if they were at the CrossFit Games. To provide the most fun-filled, smooth events that competitors have been a part of. To Challenge in unique ways and in unique venues in the beautiful Mojave Desert.

Our goal of The Mojave Desert Games is to provide a platform for competitors of all ages, genders, and ability levels to compete and showcase their talents in a world-class event. Fitness has brought us together as a community and we value it as something we will be able to do for the rest of our life and promote long healthy life.

Registration/Cost: 

Early Bird Registration: May 1 - June 31st

- Must use code EarlyBirdCG21 to get the discounted rate

Early Bird Team Fees: $699
July 1st: $789

Early Bird Individual Fees: $197
July 1st: $219

Free Shirt and Competitor Gift Bag with registration will close August 22nd. Registration without a free shirt will close on August 28th.

Refund Policy: We do not allow refunds, but if an athlete is unable to compete due to injury we will allow them to find a replacement to take their spot (Teams only) 

What to bring: Please bring your own water, food, chairs, and tents for Athlete Village. We also ask you to bring your own mobility tools and workout gear for the event. There is no food allowed inside the gym, and no drinks allowed on the turf, please keep all of that outside to helps us keep the inside of the gym clean during the competition.

Pets: Please do not bring your pets into the competition, we do not want to risk any animals getting hurt from equipment or people. Although we are pet lovers, not everyone is and we must respect that. 

Parking: The parking lot will be reserved for volunteers, Vendor Village and Athlete village, no cars will be allowed into the parking lot. Please park along the street, but not in other businesses parking lots (you will be at risk of being towed). It is encouraged to try and carpool to reduce on the amount of cars in the area. Drivers can drop off athletes at the front, but must park out on the street. 

We will monitor COVID-19 and make adjustments as needed.

CJ: 185/125

Proficient in: C2B PU, DU, TTB, BMU, HSPU, Rope Climbs. 50/35# DB, 53/35# KB

One Male/One Female athletes should be able to do Ring/Bar Muscle Ups, HS Walking, Strict HSPU

Working Weights:

Snatch: 115/75

CJ: 135/95

DL: 185/125

Proficient in: Pull-Ups, Double Unders & Toes to Bar, 50/35# DB work, 53/35# KBS 

*** These loads and skills are recommendations. MDG reserves the right to change or program heavier or lighter if desired.

Individual RX- Men & Women)

Working Weights:

Snatch: 135/95

CJ: 185/125

DL: 275/215

Proficient in: Ring/Bar muscle-ups, rope climbs, toes to bar, Chest to Bar, HSPU, Handstand Walking

Cash and Prizes:  Cash Prizes for Individual RX and Team of 4. Prize Bags for Intermediate and 2nd/3rd Place Teams

No Take-Backs - Life happens - we totally get that. But please be aware that if you cannot participate in the weekend’s events, we cannot offer a refund. This does not include COVID-19 issues. We know issues may arise from COVID-19, please understand that while we WILL refund your athlete fees the small processing fees will not be!

****Trading Places - You’ve earned your spot at the 2021 Mojave Desert Games and it cannot be given to another athlete. The exception is in the case of Teams of 4, who can substitute other athletes, up until the point of check-in for a small fee.****

One athlete will lift at a time, with a lift being performed every 20 seconds. Each athlete will get 2 attempts. Then, the 10 athletes with the heaviest lifts will get 2 additional attempts.

The athlete’s score is the weight of their heaviest successful snatch.
