Workouts

1 Minute Farmer’s Handle Hold for MAX Weight

Athletes will have 2 attempts. Athletes will choose the weight to put on the handles. After deadlifting the handles off the ground, athletes must hold them up for 1 full minute to get credit for the weight.

Each of our Farmer’s Handles weighs 42 lbs. (19 kg), so the absolute minimum weight for any athlete will be 84 pounds in total, assuming an empty bar/handle.

*Floaters carry HALF the weight of a normal workout on the leaderboard.

-The weight must be the same on both handles.

-Athletes do not have to stand fully extended, but may not rest the bar on ANY part of their body.

-Attempts do not have to be done back-to-back, but both attempts must be completed before the final given time.

-Athletes DO NOT have to attempt this twice. If you are happy with your first attempt, you can use that as your score.

“Jackedrabbit”

10 minutes:

0-2: Max Double Unders

2-6: Find a Max Snatch

6-10: Find a Max Clean and Jerk

Score = Total Weight in Pounds + DU reps

Ex: 165 lbs snatch, 215 clean and jerk, 142 Double Unders = 165+215+142 = 522

Standards:

Double Unders

-The jump rope must pass under the feet twice on each jump. Only jumps with a double pass under will be counted.

Snatch + Clean & Jerk

-All reps of Snatch and Clean & Jerk must begin on the ground.

-SNATCH: must be completed with no change in direction of the bar (i.e. you cannot lift to a hang, lower the bar and then snatch). Can be Power Snatch, Squat Snatch, or Split Snatch.

-CLEAN & JERK: Clean must be completed with no change in direction of the bar, same as snatch. You must stand the clean up to a full standing position before going into your overhead movement.

-CLEAN & JERK: The Jerk can be a Push Press, Push/Power Jerk, or Split Jerk.

-SNATCH, JERK: For the snatch and jerk, we will use a CrossFit Standard, meaning it is okay to catch the bar with bent elbows and press out, but if the bar drops below the level of the top of the head, it is a NO REP.

-To complete the rep, athletes must show control with both arms straight, feet must come at least back to shoulder width.

-Athletes MUST wait for the judge's confirmation before dropping the bar.

-If the bar is dropped before control is shown, it is a NO REP.

-If the bar is dropped BEHIND you, it is a NO REP.

*Will allow athletes to put their first snatch attempt weight on the bar before event starts

*If you are used to lifting in KILOGRAMS, we recommend that you understand your KILOGRAMS to POUNDS conversions and understand the weights you want to put on the bar.

“The Escalator”

In 6 Minutes, complete as many reps as possible of:

30/30 Foot Sandbag Shuttle (15 feet = 1 rep)

1-2-3-4-5… Wall Walks

Load:

40s Rx - 60/40 kg (132/88 lbs.)

40s Scaled - 40/30 kg (88/66 lbs.)

50+ Rx - 40/30 kg (88/66 lbs.)

50+ Scaled - 30/20 kg (66/44 lbs.)

Standards:

Sandbag Carry

-Athlete will pick up the sandbag behind the start line, move 30 feet down, and 30 feet back.

-Athlete MUST cross each line with both feet. Athletes MUST wait until both feet are across the final line before dropping the sandbag.

-Bag must be held in front of the body (chest/stomach) but may not be held on the shoulder

-Athlete may drop the bag in the middle of the floor, but can not throw the bag. You must stop and then drop, picking it right back up from where you stopped.

Wall Walks (CrossFit Open Standard, except 50+ Scaled)

• Every rep begins and ends with the athlete lying down, with the chest, feet, and thighs touching the ground.

• At the start and finish of each rep, both hands must touch the first tape line (fingers touching is OK).

• Both hands must remain on the tape until both feet are on the wall.

• At the top of the movement, both hands must touch the tape line at the 10-inch mark before the athlete may descend.

• Any part of the hand may touch the tape line. On the descent, the feet must remain on the wall until both hands are touching the first line.

• The rep is credited when the athlete returns to the starting position, with both hands touching the first line and the chest, thighs, and feet touching the ground.

• Any part of the hand may make contact with the tape line.

50+ SCALED

• Athletes in this division will wall walk to a line that is 20 inches off the wall. All other standards remain the same.
