New for 2023! Crossfit Reading will be hosting The Power Output Games.
A new box comp series with Scaled and Rx categories. So named because we will be keeping it classic Crossfit with workouts focused around the central idea that power can be measured by looking at work done in a given time period. So what is your Power Output? Sign up, send it and find out!
This same sex 3's, one day comp will feature 3 guaranteed workouts and a final for the top 5 teams in each division. With prizes going to the top 3 teams at the end of the day.
Healthy food and drink will be available to purchase on site during the day.
The Rx category is perfect for those who complete the Open Rx or compete at an Rx level Regularly, as well as those who want to try their first RX Comp.

The Scaled category aims to be accessible to those who want to experience their first comp whilst also still providing challenging workouts.

Workouts
In an 9 Minute Window the team of 3 will find a 1RM, 2RM and 3RM Hang Snatch.
0-3mins - 3RM
3-6mins - 2RM
6-9mins - 1RM
The team must designate ahead of time who will be performing each of the max lift attempts.
The teams score will be the cumulative weight of all three attempts.
2 Mins after the completion of 1A, 1B will begin

For both the calories and wallballs there will be 1 athlete working on the reps, another in a handstand hold against the wall and another resting.
Once those reps are completed the HSPU can be completed with 1 athlete working at a time the other 2 resting.

The score for this event will be the combine total reps for all 3 gymnastics movements. The tiebreak will be the number of synchronised T2B completed in round 1.

The workout begins with all teams completing 60 cals on the ski erg as fast as possible. The slowest team to complete the calories will be eliminated as there will only be 4 sets of KB's to move on to. This pattern follows with only 3 bikes and 2 D Balls, with the slowest team at each point being eliminated leaving the final two teams to battle it out fo the WOD win.
