Welcome to the 11th annual Apollo Games!! Join us for a co-ed team competition with one male and one female athlete, October 8, 2022 at CrossFit Apollo.
Our theme is "Stranger Things". There will be movements we've never done before in the Apollo Games so keep your eyes peeled for the Event announcements beginning in September.
For the first time we are offering 3 divisions. RX, Scaled, & Beginner. We're excited to bring more opportunities for those that would like to experience a competition. The beginner group is for those who are fairly new to CrossFit and have never competed before. If your team is on the bubble regarding RX or Scaled we would encourage you to challenge yourself in the RX division. Come and have a great experience competing in an exciting and supportive environment.
Registration is now live. We have a limited number of teams we can accommodate. When those spots are full we will close registration.
With supply chain and shipping issues being what they are these days we need to get the shirt order in earlier than usual. To guarantee your shirt you need to register by September 5th.
Choose which division you would like to compete in based on the criteria below.
RX teams must be able to perform multiple reps with the following movements and weights listed:
- Run
- Toes to Bars
- Chest to Bar Pull-ups
- Double Unders
- Box Jump (24/20”)
- Sumo Deadlift High Pull (72/53lbs)
- Wall Walks
- Wall Balls (20lbs – Men & Women)
Scaled teams must be able to perform multiple reps with the following movements and weights listed:
- Run
- Sit-ups with Dumbbell on Chest (35/25lbs)
- Pull-ups
- Double Unders
- Sumo Deadlift High Pull (53/45lbs)
- Wall Walks
- Wall Balls (14lbs – Men & Women)
Beginner teams must be able to perform multiple reps with the following movements and weights listed:
- Run
- Sit-ups
- Ring Rows
- Single Unders
- Sumo Deadlift High Pull (45/36lbs)
- Wall Walks (Open Scaled Standard)
- Wall Balls (10lbs – Men & Women)
Please park at the YMCA or in the parking lot across the street. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks. We are not issuing refunds this year. Partner substitutions have to be made at least 3 days before the event. If you are substituting a partner please keep in mind that t-shirt sizes cannot be changed. Teams can switch divisions provided that it is at least 10 days before the event day.
****Anyone siging up after September 13th will not be able to pick their shirt style or size. The shirt order will have already been submitted so teams after September 13th will receive a unisex L for the male athlete and a unisex S for the female athlete. ****

Workouts
Clean Ladder
75lbs, 85, 95, 105, 115, 125, 135, 145, 155, 165, 175, 185, 195, 205, 215, 225, 235, 245, etc…
Ø Athletes will pick their starting weight
Ø You will have 20 seconds to lift, 10 seconds to rest, then rotate
Ø The bolded weights are your different starting positions.
RX Division
11 Minute AMRAP:
· 11 Burpee Box Jump Overs (24/20)
· 11 KB Sumo Deadlift High Pulls (72/53)
@3:00, 6:00, & 9:00
· 11 Wall Facing Strict HSPU or Wall Walks
Ø Score = Total Reps
Ø Athletes must complete a full round of the couplet (BBJ & SDLHP) before switching. You are required to switch after each completed round.
Ø Your body must be perpendicular to the box while performing down portion of burpee.
Ø Either both feet or no feet need to touch the box during the box jump over portion. Step-ups are NOT permitted.
Ø You must wall walk up to begin wall facing HSPU’s. This wall walk will count towards your required reps.
Ø Each athlete must complete at least 2 reps of the handstand element.
Ø Athletes may choose to do either wall facing HSPU’s, wall walks are a mixture of both. Just give us 11 reps.
Ø Standards for the handstand elements will be covered on the day of the event.
Scaled Division
11 Minute AMRAP:
· 11 Burpee Box Jump Overs (24/20)
· 11 KB Sumo Deadlift High Pulls (53/45)

· 11 HSPU or Wall Walks
Ø Score = Total Reps

Ø Only one athlete may work at a time. Partners may switch at any point.
Ø Your body must be perpendicular to the box while performing down portion of burpee.
Ø Either both feet or no feet need to touch the box during the box jump over portion. Step-ups are NOT permitted.
Ø You must wall walk up to begin wall facing HSPU’s. This wall walk will count towards your required reps.
Ø Each athlete must complete at least 2 reps of the handstand element.
Ø Athletes may choose to do either wall facing HSPU’s, wall walks are a mixture of both. Just give us 11 reps.
Ø We will use the scaled division wall walk standard from 2022 CrossFit Open.
RX Division
For Time:
Athlete 1
· 600/500 Meter Row
· 50 Wall Balls (20lbs) (11ft/9ft)
Athlete 2
· 600/500 Meter Row
· 50 Wall Balls (20lbs) (11ft/9ft)
Ø Score = Time -or- Reps completed at cut-off
Ø 8 Minute Cut-off
Ø Athlete 2 will begin their row as soon as athlete 1 finishes their row.
Ø Athlete 2 CANNOT get off the rower until athlete 1 has finished their wall balls.
Ø Men and women will both use the same 20lb wall ball. However, men will throw to an 11-foot target while women throw to a 9-foot target.
Scaled Division
For Time:
Athlete 1
· 600/500 Meter Row
· 50 Wall Balls (14lbs) (11ft/9ft)
Athlete 2
· 600/500 Meter Row
· 50 Wall Balls (14lbs) (11ft/9ft)
Ø Score = Time -or- Reps completed at cut-off
Ø 8 Minute Cut-off
Ø Athlete 2 will begin their row as soon as athlete 1 finishes their row.
Ø Athlete 2 CANNOT get off the rower until athlete 1 has finished their wall balls.
Ø Men and women will both use the same 14lb wall ball. However, men will throw to an 11-foot target while women throw to a 9-foot target.
Beginner Division
For Time:
Athlete 1
· 600/500 Meter Row
· 35 Wall Balls (10lbs) (10ft/9ft)
Athlete 2
· 600/500 Meter Row
· 35 Wall Balls (10lbs) (10ft/9ft)
Ø Score = Time -or- Reps completed at cut-off
Ø 8 Minute Cut-off
Ø Athlete 2 will begin their row as soon as athlete 1 finishes their row.
Ø Athlete 2 CANNOT get off the rower until athlete 1 has finished their wall balls.
Ø Men and women will both use the same 10lb wall ball. However, men will throw to an 10-foot target while women throw to a 9-foot target.
Rx Division
For Time:
· 2 Mile Run
· 100 Toes to Bar
· 200 Double Unders
· 100 Chest to Bar Pull-ups
Ø Score = Time -or- Reps completed at cut-off
Ø 20 Minute Cut-off
Ø One athlete will run 400 meters while the other works to complete chipper in order listed above.
Ø Athletes must switch after each 400-meter run (4, 400 meter runs for each athlete).
Ø Once the run is complete, both athletes will stay inside and complete the remaining reps left in chipper with only one athlete working at a time. At this point, teammates may switch at any point.
Scaled Division
For Time:
· 2 Mile Run
· 100 Dumbbell Weighted Sit-ups (35/25)
· 100 Double Unders
· 100 Pull-ups
Ø Score = Time -or- Reps completed at cut-off
Ø 20 Minute Cut-off
Ø One athlete will run 400 meters while the other works to complete chipper in order listed above.
Ø Athletes must switch after each 400-meter run (4, 400 meter runs for each athlete).
Ø Once the run is complete, both athletes will stay inside and complete the remaining reps left in chipper with only one athlete working at a time. At this point, teammates may switch at any point.
Ø Dumbbell sit-ups must be performed with dumbbell resting on chest.
Beginner Division
For Time:
· 1 Mile Run
· 100 Sit-ups
· 200 Single Unders
· 100 Ring Rows
Ø Score = Time -or- Reps completed at cut-off
Ø 20 Minute Cut-off
Ø One athlete will run 200 meters while the other works to complete chipper in order listed above.
Ø Athletes must switch after each 200-meter run (4, 200 meter runs for each athlete).
Ø Once the run is complete, both athletes will stay inside and complete the remaining reps left in chipper with only one athlete working at a time. At this point, teammates may switch at any point.
Ø Ring rows must be complete with legs straight with toes on drawn out line directly below the rings at rest.
