8 Atlas Stone Lifts Over Rail (02:00 Time Cap)    145/100lb (100lb is a sandbag)

250M Husafell Bag Carry                                         150/100lb

3KM Mountain Trail Run

Accuracy Throw

250M Sprint to finish line

Event Flow:

Athletes will begin standing on their designated start lines. On the call of “3,2,1, GO!” athletes will approach the stone, proceeding with their first stone lift. Athletes will lift the stone to the necessary height allowing them to push the stone over the rail. Athletes will run around the rail and complete the same lift on the opposite side of the rail until all 8 reps are complete. If an athlete fails to complete all 8 reps in the 02:00 time cap, each missed lift will result in a 00:30 penalty added to their final time. After completing the 8 atlas stone lifts over the rail, athletes will proceed to the husafell bag. Athletes will carry the husafell bag for 250m to the beginning of the trailhead. Once athletes reach the trailhead, they will drop the husafell bag and proceed with the 3KM mountain trail run. Athletes are expected to stay within the flag-marked boundaries. Once the summit of the trail run has been reached, athletes will complete the accuracy challenge, which will be announced during the athlete briefing prior to Event 1. Athletes will have 3 attempts to complete the accuracy challenge. Failure to complete the challenge within 3 attempts will result in a 15-burpee penalty. Once the accuracy challenge is complete, athletes will sprint 250m to the finish line.

Movement Standards:

Atlas Stone Lift

  • The stone must be lifted from the ground and be rolled over the rail shoulder completely.
  • Stone can hit barrier as long as it passes over the top of the rail.
  • Athlete can go either direction to reach the opposite side of the rail to complete their next lift.

Husafell Bag Carry

  • The bag can be carried in any fashion the athlete chooses as long as it is clear of the ground while being carried (in front of the body in a bear hug hold is the most common form of carry for this bag).
  • The athlete’s feet must completely pass the finish line before dropping the bag.

Run

  • Athletes must follow the designated running route. Any attempt to shorten the running route will result in immediate disqualification.

Minute 7:00-10:00
If the athlete successfully lifts the sixth weight of the snatch, they will move on to establish a one rep max Snatch during minute 7:00 – 10:00. • Once at the shoulder, the athlete may get the dumbbell overhead using a shoulder press, push press, push jerk, or split jerk.
  • The non-working hand may not come into contact with the body or the dumbbell at any point during the rep. Athletes may use two hands while lowering the dumbbell between reps.
  • At the top, arm, hips, and knees must be fully locked out with the dumbbell clearly over the middle of the body. This will indicate a completed rep.
  • If a split jerk is performed, both feet must return in line with the body while the dumbbell is locked out overhead.

Hand Stand Walk

  • Athlete must start behind the marker.
  • Both hands must clearly begin behind the line.
  • Athletes must travel a minimum of 5 feet for the rep to count.
