Hybrid Warrior Championships
About This Competition
Calling all Hybrid athletes to come and test your strength, engine and endurance in this All-day event in Henlow, Bedfordshire with live DJ’s!
This is an intermediate level event with teams of 4 going head to head to crown the “Champions of Hybrid Fitness!”
Set in a beautiful, private campsite, renowned for its festivals and family fun days, we can not wait for this event to put you through your paces and see what you are made of!
Prizes for best team name!!
The facilities include: showers, toilets, marquees and and warm up area and vendors for food, hot drinks and merch!
The nearest train station is just a 2 minute walk away (Arlesey) and you do have the option of overnight camping.

Workouts

2 Athletes on Assault bike
Accumulate as many calories as you can. Swap how ever you chose.
2 Athletes on sandbag 30/50kg (m/f)
40 Sandbag to shoulder
40 Squats with sandbag on shoulder
All athletes 8 synchro burpees
30 Sandbag to shoulder
30 Squats with sandbag on shoulder
All athletes 10 synchro burpees
20 Sandbag to shoulder
20 Squats with sandbag on shoulder
All athletes 12 synchro burpees
Athlete 3 BURPEE BLEEP TEST
1 athlete from each team will go head to head on a burpee bleep test. This works by performing 1 shuttle run into 1 burpee, 1 shuttle run into 2 burpees etc. shuttle run remains the same each round. Burpees increase by 1 rep each up to 12 burpees. Burpees are chest to floor line facing. First one to 12 is the winner. Shuttle distance approx. 100m
Athlete 4 CARRY ME HOME
1 athlete from your team is required to carry all weights from an area around 50m away from the start line/marked out box. Weights will consist of a variety of plates, kettlebells, dumbbells, sandbags…. The workout finishes when all the weight has been cleared by all athletes and the athlete whod does this the fastest wins
Athlete 2 DEADLIFT OFF
1 athlete will go head to head with 1 athlete from each team to lift the barbell for 1 rep starting at 70/100kg. Weight increases each round until barbell reaches 160kg. Any remaining athletes will then do max reps at that weight. Winner is either last athlete on the platform or most reps at 160kg.
Athlete 1 LAST MAN STANDING
1 athlete from each team will run a 200m lap of the track every 90 seconds. The last athlete back is out. Winner is last man standing.

All athletes start behind start line
Athlete's Row for 4 x 3 minutes blocks. 1 athlete rowing at a time, not all athletes need to row. If one person is doing 2/3/4 blocks of rowing, they must leave the rower, return to the start line and then they can get back on.
Whilst 1 athlete rows, 3 remaining athletes have 2 barbells between them and must complete as many SYNCHRO rounds of DT in the 12 min timecap. 1 Athlete is resting at all times. You can switch athlete on barbells as often as you wish
