D Thompson Contracting Deadlift Ladder All divisions EVENT 1 FLOW: Athletes begin at the starting position with their judge. At 3...2...1...GO! The athlete moves to the first barbell and attempts the lift. If the lift is successful, the athlete moves to the second barbell. The athlete continues to move through the remaining barbells after each successful lift. Once the athlete reaches the 4th barbell and is successful, more weights will be placed on the barbell after each successful lift, increasing in 20kg increments for men and 10kg increments for women. The barbell that the athlete records their final successful lift will be the athlete's score for the event. The athlete has 4 minutes to complete the event and all lifts must be completed before the 4-minute time allocation. In the event of a tie, the athletes will share the placing and the points. MOVEMENT STANDARDS DEADLIFT The rep begins with the barbell loaded at the correct weight for the athlete's division. For the rep to awarded, the athlete must lift the barbell to full extension, hips, and knees locked out with the torso directly above them. This is where the rep finishes, the barbell can be dropped once the rep has been given by the judge. "Hitching" is permitted, but the athlete must still reach full extension.

All divisions EVENT 3 FLOW: Athletes begin at the starting position with their judge. At 3...2...1...GO! The athlete moves to the medley objects and begins loading them into the kiwiskips 2m3 bin that will be placed 10 metres from the start line. Once all of the medley objects are in the Kiwiskips bin, the athlete is to drag the Kiwiskip to the 10 metre mark. The time taken to load the Kiwiskip and drag it the full 10 metres will be the athletes score. *In the event that ground conditions aren't suitable for the athletes to pull the Kiwiskip, athletes will pull or push a vehicle instead. The athlete has 3 minutes to complete this event. SCORING This event is for time, with a 3 minute time limit to complete it. The athlete that completes the event the fastest will be awarded first place for the Event and receive 1 point. The athlete that completes the event the second fastest will be awarded second place for the Event and receive 2 points. This continues in this format until all athletes have received a score. Should the athlete not complete the 10 metre Kiwiskip drag in the 3 minute time limit, their score will be 3 minutes PLUS any remaining metres as seconds. In the event of a tie, the athletes will share the placing and the points. MOVEMENT STANDARDS KIWISKIP MEDLEY DRAG The event begins with the 3 medley objects placed on the starting line. The athlete must load each medley object individually into the Kiwiskip that is placed 10 metres away from the start line before dragging it by the handle for 10 metres (or for 3 minutes, whichever comes first). The athlete MUST remain facing the Kiwiskip for the duration of the drag, they cannot pull (face away from) the Kiwiskip. *In the event that ground conditions aren't suitable for the athletes to pull the Kiwiskip, athletes will pull or push a vehicle instead.
