About This Competition

About Our Event

We couldn’t be more excited to bring you the Showdown for the 5th year in a row! We hope to continue the growth of this fitness event by doubling the number of teams competing and to be able to donate to Warriors Choice Foundation. On April 5th & 6th, 2025 our event will again take place at Carlin Park in beautiful Jupiter, FL. This park is 120-acre with 3,000 feet of guard beach. We are excited to continue this two-day competition with some exciting events and WODs planned for 2025! Just a quick reminder on our goal to support Warriors Choice Foundation, INC (WCF) – It is a local nonprofit organization founded by combat veterans providing ‘combat veterans’ tailored service dogs, proven comprehensive therapies through wellness retreats focused on healing the mind, body and spirituality for transitioning combat veterans (and dependents). This team has operated 100% volunteer since their establishment and has become a go to nonprofit for many special operation veterans seeking their service. It is an organization providing combat veterans and dependents, with adaptive individually tailored residential programs, focused on streamlining coordinated comprehensive and rehabilitative services at no-cost. Our goal is to help fund and promote their mission due to the systemic issue surrounding mental health issues for returning combat veterans, and the services that should be provided.

Our Mission

While continuing to promote healthy, active lifestyles and community involvement, we want to continue to support our nations combat veterans through fundraising competitions, like Seadog Summer Showdown

 

Notes F&Qs:

There is a no refund policy as our proceeds go to our non-profit, the Warriors Choice Foundation.

Pets are allowed as we are a dog friendly event and have several dog vendors on site.

Parking is located across from the park in designated areas.

-You do not have to jerk just shoulder to overhead for all divisions

Adaptive

There will be 2 scores for this workout with a 10 min time frame.

First all athletes will row their distance and that will be score A.

Second with time remaining after the row athletes will perform max wall balls with respected weight and target height and that will be score B.

-For score A one partner rows while the other is holding the barbell in the front rack position.  The front rack means the front rack, NO crossed arms as this is a totally different stimulus that is created.

-You NEVER have to transtition unless the athlete holding the barbell drops it then you must transition.

-Score A is 2000m for time

-Score B will be max wall balls with remaining time after the 2000m row is complete.
