About This Competition

The 1st Annual Rise of the Warriors is a charity Crossfit competition, a tribute to Fallen Soldiers.

  Teams of 3 will take on 3 Hero WODS Holleyman, Jack, and Zachery Teller dividing up the reps and work anyway they want.

Taking place in beautiful downtown Concord with the host Crossfit Unite.  Both athletes and spectators will be treated to exciting Crossfit action with awesome tunes spun by the amazing DJ-LA, a street full of businesses and vendors with Downtown Concord's Small Business Saturday and lots of amazing choices for delicious food from Greek to American and Italian and Handcrafted Beer from Concord's Finest Breweries.

Sponsored by the National Guard, proceeds benefit the VA Hospital.

Workouts

At the count of "3-2-1" athletes will complete 30 rounds of 5 Wallballs, 3 Handstand Push Ups, and 1 Power Clean dividing up the work anyway they would like.

Movement Standards

Wallball- In the wall ball, the medicine ball must be taken from the bottom of a squat, hip crease below knee, and thrown to hit the specified target. 

Handstand Push Ups- The rep is completed with the athlete reaches full extension of the arms.  A pair of 25# plates will be on either side of an abmat.

 

Power Clean- The barbell will be taken from the ground with the rep ending when the bar is in the front rack position with hips and knees at full extension.

 

At "3-2-1", athletes will have 20:00 to complete as many reps as possible.

Movement Standards

 

Push Presses- The bar starts in the front rack position and ends when the barbell is directly overhead and arms locked out.

Kettlebell Swings- American with the rep ending when the kettlebell is overhead

 

Box Jumps- Start with both feet on the ground and ends when athlete is on the box with full extension of hips and knees.

At "3-2-1", athletes will complete the following dividing up the work anyway they would like.

Movement Standards

Burpees-When you go to the ground, your chest and thighs must make contact with the floor. Your feet must come back up together.  Extend your hips fully and jump and clap overhead. Each rep ends with you standing up fully.

Push Ups-Elbows must be locked out with the feet no wider than shoulder width. A straight body position must be maintained throughout the push-up. No snaking, sagging, or pushing up from the knees. The chest must touch the floor.  In the scaled divisions, push ups may be done from knees.

Abmat Situps- Hands touch the ground at the beginning and ends when both hands touch the athlete's foot with shoulders above hips and spine extended.

 

FOR THE CAUSE DIVISIONS CAN MODIFY WEIGHT AND MOVEMENTS HOWEVER THEY WOULD LIKE
