OUT in the Open
About This Competition
Welcome to the OUT in the Open, a competition where ALL are welcomed
OUT in the Open is a virtual fitness competition for everybody and every body. We believe that fitness is a human right and every one deserves the opportunity to compete.
With that as our guiding light, OUT in the Open has been reimagined as an independent, fully inclusive fitness competition, we will be releasing 3 workouts for you to test your fitness based not in your gender, but on your fitness skills and ability. Come and have fun with us!
- Workouts will be release every Thursday with the first one being on 02/27, for 3 weeks
- 02/27
- 03/06
- 03/13
- The last, and 4th week will be reserved for a Fundraing Competition with funds raised helping The OUT Foundation continue our work of making health, fitness and wellness more accesible for the LGBTQ+ Community.
- You will have one (1) week to complete the workouts - from Thursday to Thursday.
- Not participating in any of the week(s)/workout(s) will not desqualify you for the week(s) prior or after
- If you believe your performance will be amongst the first 5 of your division, we ask that you submit a video in the correct format. You can sumbit a video regardless and show off your fitness - we are here for it!
All athletes agree to compete in a fair and honest manner. Any different behavior, such as arguing, taunting, heckling, fighting, discriminate, use of violence or participating in any conduct that would bring disrepute upon the OUT Foundation, your Fitness Space, the competition, other competitors, spectators, or event sponsors, in the eyes of the viewing public or your community, may be grounds for penalty, suspension, disqualification, removal from the event, disqualification from future events, or legal action. Simply put, respect the rights of Athletes, coaches, and volunteers by encouraging an environment that is fair, welcoming, and free from discrimination and harassment of any type.
