Workouts

Athletes will perform a max-effort clean using an axle bar. Due to the thicker diameter and lack of spin, this event heavily challenges grip, pulling mechanics, and explosive hip drive.

• 3 minutes to build to a max clean
• Standard: bar must be brought from floor to controlled rack position 

 

Use of wrist wraps for wrist support is allowed, however athltetes may not use straps that assist/ aid in lifting the bar, or attaching bar to athletes hand. 

 

Event #3:  Deadlift Destruction - 3 Rep Max - Fat Grip SUMO Deadlift

( 5 min)

A deadlift event using fat grip implement to significantly increase grip demand. Athletes must demonstrate full lockout with control at the top of each lift.

•Full extension required: hips and knees locked out, shoulders back stacked over the hips

•Straps not allowed, however athletes may use conventional or switch grip.

Athletes can use help with loading barbell. 


Athletes will complete 3 Keg overhead press, into a 40m farmer carry down a designated lane and back, immediately transitioning back to 3 rep keg overhead press for a total of 3 rounds.

Keg Weight/ KB Weight - by division / gender 

• Carry distance: 40m all divisions
• Keg must be pressed to full lockout

• Time stops after final successful press, fastest time wins. 

 

Event #4: STONE OF CHAOS

Athletes will load stone over target for max reps for 90 seconds-

Experienced Men Heavy Weight:  145lbs ball

Experienced Men Light to Middle: 115lbs ball

Experienced Women Heavy: 115lbs ball

Experienced Women Light to Mid:  95ball

 

Novice Women Heavy Weight: 65lbs ball

Novice Women Light to Mid Weight: 35lbs ball

Novice Men Heavy Weight:  95lbs ball

Novice  Men Light to Mid Weight: 65lbs
