Movement Standards:

Devils Press:

Athletes start each repetition with the dumbbells on the ground. Then, with the athlete’s hand on the dumbbell, they perform a burpee, with both athletes meeting at the bottom and their chest and thighs making contact with the floor.

From here, the athlete will jump to their feet, never taking their hands from the dumbbell. Next, the athlete shall snatch or swing the dumbbell from the floor simultaneously and finish with both athletes meeting locked out overhead, with hips, knees, shoulders, and arms at full extension and over the center plane of the body. This shall indicate a completed repetition.

Please note, the athlete may “swing” the dumbbell between their legs to help to build momentum to get them overhead, but the athlete may NOT pause at the shoulders and press the dumbbells. The free hand / arm  may not be placed the
on the thigh or anywhere on the body.

Box Step Up:

For every repetition of the dumbbell box step-up, the athlete starts with both feet on the ground and faces the box. With the dumbbell supported in any position but not resting on the leg, the athlete must step to the top of the box. Only the athlete’s feet may make contact with the box. If the athlete holds the dumbbell with one hand, the free hand may not push into the legs during the step-up. One hand must be in contact with the dumbbell at all times.

The rep is credited when the athlete’s feet are on the top of the box and the hips and knees are fully extended. Athletes must alternate legs to start each step

6:00 Minutes to Establish:

A1 - Max Snatch + Hang Snatch
A2 - Max Clean + Hang Clean

MM - 1 min rest - FF

*Burpee Buy-In Required for each attempt. Reps may be broken up anyway between the two athletes. Buy-In allows each athlete 1 attempt.

This event will be completed in MM/FF pairs, each pair will have one athlete complete the snatch and one athlete complete the jerk. Athletes cannot switch which lift they will complete once they start.

Elite - 21
Comp - 18
Int - 15
Rec - 12

Burpee standard: Burpee-Over-Hurdle. Athletes must jump over a 6" hurdle. Both feet must be off the ground at some point when clearing the hurdle for it to be considered a jump. Some portion of both feet must clearly pass over the hurdle (not around it). A two-foot take-off or landing is NOT required

SCORE - total combined heaviest weight lifted for all 4 athletes
