Outside the Box 2020
About This Competition
Join us for our Outside the Box Premier Fitness Competition. This will be held off site at an incredible Ranch venue only five minutes from our gym in beautiful horse country, Aubrey, TX. This Competition will start in the early afternoon and finish off into the evening.
This event will be teams of 4 (MM/FF) with the following division options:Scaled
RX
Masters (40+) (the average age of the team of 4 must be 40+)
There will 6 scored events.
Division Standards:
RX: HS Walks, Run, Thrusters(95/65), DB Snatch (50/35), bike, burpees
Scaled: Weighted Walking Lunges , Run, Thrusters (65/45), DB Snatch (40/25), bike, burpees
Masters (40+): Weighted Walking Lunges, Run, Thrusters (65/45), DB Snatch (40/25), bike, burpees

-Max KB Hang Clean & Shoulder to overhead
RX (70/44) Scaled (35/25) Masters (50/35)
3, 2, 1 Go the males will hit the bike for max calories and switch off as much as wanted while the females perform as many KB hang clean & shoulder to overhead also switching off as much as they like. At the 3 minute mark, the males and females will immediately switch movements and finish out the remainder of the 6 minutes. There are two scores for this event, total max calories on the bike and total hang clean & shoulder to overhead performed by all 4 teammates. Each teammate must be on the bike at least once and each teammate must attempt at least one hang clean and shoulder to overhead.

Score: Max thrusters (buy in required each transition)
-RX (95/65) HS Walks
-Masters (75/55) HS Walks OR Overhead Walking Lunges (45/25)
-Scaled (55/45) HS Walks OR Weighted Walking Lunges (45/25)
3,2,1 GO, athlete 1 will do a 20ft HS Walk buy in then move directly to the barbell performing as many thrusters as desired. Once they have put the barbell down, they will run back and tag athlete 2. Athlete 2 will then do the 20ft HS Walk buy in and pick up where athlete 1 left off on the thrusters. Then will then tag athlete 3, they go. Then athlete 4. You will continue in this fashion until the 16 minute cap. After all 4 athletes have gone the first time, you can then switch up in any order you choose. Your score will be total amount of thrusters performed by all athletes.
RX teams MUST all HS Walk.
Masters and scaled have the option of the HS Walks OR 60ft Weighted walking lunges. Masters will hold it above their head while lunging and scaled may hold the plate however they would like while lunging. In Masters and scaled all athletes do not have to do the same movement. For example, athlete 1 can hs walk and athlete 2 can lunge.
Ranch Relay Run

Each team member will take on the 1000m trail run in a relay fashion. You will divide your team of 4 into 2 pairs anyway you like (MM/FF/MF). Pair A and Pair B will have 2 separate timed score.
At 3-2-1 go... person 1A and 1B will take off from the start line while person 2A and 2B will stay put at the starting line. The first of the pairs will run the 1000m trail run against the pack and try to be the first to get back to hand off to the second person. Partner 2A and 2B will take off on the same 1000m trail once their partner has returned. Once your second person has crossed the finish line, the clock will stop and that time is your score. Each Team of 4 will have two scores, total time for Pair A and total time for Pair B.
Get ready for a fun, scenic run! Also don’t forget, we recommend bringing two pairs of shoes and socks just in case it is a little wet or muddy game day.

Synchronized DB Snatches
Synchronized DB facing burpee over the DB
RX (50/35) Scaled (40/25) Masters (40/25)
3-2-1 GO.. all four athletes will perform 22 synchronized snatches. The rep is judged at the top of each rep. If one teammate is faster than the rest, they must remain in that locked out overhead position before moving to the next rep. All four athletes will then perform 22 synchronized DB facing burpee over the DB. All athletes chests must be all on the ground before taking off to jump over the DB with a two foot takeoff and two foot landing. If one athlete is faster to the ground, they must wait on the ground until all four athletes chests are on the ground. Team will then do 16 more snatches and burpees and then 10 and 10. The score for this event is the time completed.
