About This Competition

Battle Grounds is the premier CrossFit competition in the Reno/Tahoe area for the Rx and Scaled athlete. This competition was born in 2015 and this will be our third and biggest year yet and it has only been growing. It is a two day competition and all athletes can expect to complete 4 workouts with the finalists completing a 5th workout. Workouts

1RM Hang Clean and Jerk for both Rx and Scaled. The lift may be either a Power or a Squat and either Jerk is allowed. All athletes will have 3 attempts to find their max weight in a 20 second window. There will be a 5 second transition time between each athlete. Lane 1 will perform their lift and when 20 seconds has passed, there will be a 5 second transition, then lane 2 will complete their lift and it will follow this pattern for 3 rounds.

Rx: 2 RFT -15 TTB -15 Thrusters @95/65 Cash Out: 15 Snatches @95/65 Scaled: 2 RFT -30 Knee Raises (Must break 90 degrees) -15 Thrusters @75/55 Cash Out: 15 Snatches @75/55 The time cap for this workout is 6 minutes.

RX: 3 RFT -300 Meter Run -7 Front Squats @185/125 -14 Pull Ups 9 Minute Time Cap At the 9 minute mark EVENT 4 will begin. // Scaled: 3 RFT -300 Meter Run -7 Front Squats @135/85 -7 Pull Ups 9 Minute Time Cap At the 9 minute mark EVENT 4 will begin.

RX: 5 Minutes to find 1RM Snatch // Scaled: 5 Minutes to find 1RM Snatch For both divisions event 4 can be a Power Snatch or a Squat Snatch.

RX: For Time 30/24 Cal Row 10 Deadlifts @225/155 30 KB Snatches @53/35 10 Deadlifts 30 Wall Balls @20/14 10 Deadlifts 30/24 Cal Assault Bike 11 Minute Time Cap *KB Snatches: The athlete must complete 15 on one arm before moving onto the next. // Scaled: For Time 30 Cal Row 10 Deadlifts @185/125 30 KB Snatches @44/26 10 Deadlifts 30 Wall Balls @14/10 10 Deadlifts 30 Cal Assault Bike 11 Minute Time Cap
