About This Competition

 

Munich FitFest will take place on the weekend of Jan 13.

Divisions will be Same Sex

- Male - Male Rx

- Female - Female Rx

- Male - Male Scaled

- Female - Female Scaled  

The workouts will be released via instagram in the weeks leading up to the event.  2 should be released already.

The competition will have 5 workouts, and this will settle the overall placement.  Afterwards there will be a finale workout Where the top x (varies depending on participation) will have their points reset to 0 and compete in an elimination style workout for the top prize and trophy.

 

Standards for Strength and Skills are as follows

 

For the RX division both partners should be able to do the following.

 

Clean 70kg+ / 50kg+

Pegboard Ascent (final)

Bench 80kg / 55kg

Deadlift 160kg / 110kg

Handstand Walk (3m)

 

 

 

1 Partner must be able to do the following

 

Pullups

Hang Snatch at 50kg

Ring Dips 

HSPU

Double Unders/Crossovers/Another Jump Rope Skill

Squat 100kg / 70kg

Muscle Ups would be beneficial

Carry a heavy odd object

 

FAQ's:

Where do I park?: Parking is available at the venue

When shoud athletes arrive?: Teams should arrive between 7:30-8:00 a.m. for athlete check-in. Athlete meeting is at 8-8:15 a.m. First heat starts at 8:45.

What should I bring?: You can set up tents and seating outside the gym. There will be plenty of room inside for spectators to stand and watch. We will have water, recovery drinks, pre-workout drinks and protein bars for purchase inside. Furry friends are welcome, but must stay outside the gym and on a leash.

What is the cutoff for registration to guarantee event goodies: All athletes will receive event goodies, however those that register earlier may receive more personalized ones (ie names on a shirt etc...)

What if a partner bails?: We only will offer refunds for extenuating circumstances but no worries, just find yourself another partner! The Team Captain (the one who registered all the teammates) will have to go into Competition Corner and change the personal information of the outgoing team member to the new team member. If the Team Captain has to bail, then they must assign a new Team Captain in Competition Corner.  

Will there be food?: Yes! There will be food for purchase as well many local business nearby for easy access.

Workouts

2 rounds for time (TC 7min)

20 Burpees Over Partner

40 Slam Ball Situps (10kg)

60 Double Unders (Single unders for scaled) with a Weighted Rope

 

At 7 min athletes will then rest until the 10min mark and then do the following

 

2 rounds for time (Tc 7min)

40 Cal Row

40 Toe to Bar (Knee raises for scaled)

40 Crossovers (single under line hops) with an even heavier rope.

2 rounds for time (TC 7min)

20 Burpees Over Partner

40 Slam Ball Situps (10kg)

60 Double Unders (Single unders for scaled) with a Weighted Rope

 

At 7 min athletes will then rest until the 10min mark and then do the following

 

2 rounds for time (Tc 7min)

40 Cal Row

40 Toe to Bar (Knee raises for scaled)

40 Crossovers (single under line hops) with an even heavier rope.

Grind while They Rest (For Scaled)

AMRAP 20 

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 etc.......

 

Synchronized Burpees over an object

Ring Pushups

 

Grind while They Rest (RX)

AMRAP 20 

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 etc.......

 

Synchronized Burpees over an object

Ring Dips (High Rings)

 

Athletes will start at the start location, run to the object and both do their synchronized burpees over the object. 

 

(For the intent of this workout, synchronized simply means, both athletes must do the full movement before the next rep can be started.  They can work in Tandem or one of after another)

 

Then one athlete will retreat to behind the line, while the other athlete proceeds to their ring pushup station.  They may switch at anytime, however 1 athlete must remain behind the line at all times.

Each Partner will work for 3 minutes in total

 

P1) Max Rep Bench Press

Score is Total Reps Completed

Weights are by division

RX Male - 80kg Bench, 120kg Deadlift

Rx Female - 60kg Bench, 90kg Deadlift

Sc Male - 65kg Bench, 100kg Deadlift

Scale Female - 40kg Bench, 65kg Deadlift

 

*Weights are subject to change

For Time:

RX

Partner 1 will first do the following

 

1 Pegboard

2 Tire Flips 

3 3m Handstand Walks

4 Burpees over an Object (approx 1.3m)

5 DB over shoulder (70/50kg)

 

Then Partner 2 will do the same in reverse order

5 DB over shoulder (70/50kg)

4 Burpees over an Object (approx 1.3m)

3 3x Handstand Walks

2 Tire Flips

1 Pegboard

 

Scaled will do the following version

 

1 Rope Climb

2 Tire Flips 

3 Wall Walks

4 Burpees over an Object (approx 1.3m)

5 DB over shoulder (50/30kg)

 

Then Partner 2 will do the same in reverse order

5 DB over shoulder (50/30kg)

4 Burpees over an Object (approx 1.3m)

3 Wall Walks

2 Tire Flips

1 Rope Climb

For Time 

Rx (Scaled)

Score will be when both partners finish the 200m Run

Partner 1 will do the following

21 synchronized pullups (ring rows)

200m run

15 synchronized pullups (ring rows)

200m run

9 synchronized pullups (ring rows)

200m run

 

The synchronized movements and the run will be done simultaneously with partner 2

21 synchronized hang snatch (hang to overhead)

200m run

15 sychronized hang snatch (hang to overhead)

200m run

9 sychronized hang snatch (hang to overhead)

200m run

 

Sychnronization points will be at the bottom and the top of the movements.... as well as running together.

In a 5 minute Window

 

Max Barbell Curls (1 giant "unbroken" set)

 

25kg for Ladies

35kg for Men

 

Partners may trade at will, but any attempt to rest the barbell ends your window.

If the barbell touches the floor, the window ends as well.
